THE_DEAD_POOL
So I bought the Netduma R1 about 3 weeks and have not been having the best experience with it. The wifi has been sub-par in its performance and I am having to reboot the router at least once a week. I expected better from a $200 router. About once a week the router will refuse to transmit data over both wired and wireless connections. I rebooted the modem first with no luck and the only solution I have come across is doing a hard reset on the Netduma R1. I have no other choice but to do a hard reset due to not being able to log into the router and do a reboot from the Miscellaneous screen. It is updated to the current firmware. Is there something I may be missing that is causing the Netduma to lock up? On another note, gaming was great the first two days after setting up the router. As of late, the quality of games has degraded. The settings are still the same, but the matchmaking seems to be poorer. Any advice on a setup that may improve the gaming quality and matchmaking? I mainly play Black Ops 2 on the PS3 at the moment. Thanks for the Help!

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 28, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 28, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! For WiFi change to PSK2 security mode. Use a WiFi analyser to find the least congested channel and change to that. Also untick/tick the WiFi workaround in miscellaneous settings. Does it occur on every single connected device? Have you tried another ethernet cable connecting the duma to your hub?
THE_DEAD_POOL
Yes, it happens on every device. More or less the NetDuma stops sending and receiving data. I re-seated all of the ethernet cables as well with no luck. The only solution was to unplug it for 10 seconds and plug it back in. Rebooting the Modem did not solve the issue either. This seems to happen at least once a week.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 29, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 29, 2017 Okay, can you try setting static IPs for all your devices in DHCP lease and see if that resolves it. If not I'm happy to do a 1 on 1 next week
THE_DEAD_POOL
What benefit would I have from setting Static IPs? Not sure how that solves the "Lock Up" Problem.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 30, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 30, 2017 What benefit would I have from setting Static IPs? Not sure how that solves the "Lock Up" Problem. I'm wondering if when a device changes it's IP that DHCP is not handing out a new one correctly and thus doesn't receive internet
