slickers74
Hi - 2 weeks into my gaming revolution and things are going well. I've just noticed (realised) that my IPS is throttling my connection during peak hours. I've set up my bandwidth at 200/12 (as advertised) but realistically during my gaming I'm at 70/7. Whats the best course of action here? Leave it at 200/12 Leave it at 70/7 or change it about? Any advise greatly appreciated
bagsta69
I'd run a speed test before any gaming session at 100% cc, then input the figures or slightly less into bandwidth. You still have plenty at 70/
fuzzy clam
Just curious but what makes you think their throttling you ? I know some do it but was wondering if you are setting your sliders to 70 / 70 or what ever your setting them at for your home network and then noticing the lower speeds.I'm in no way saying they aren't but was just curious. And if that's not the case I would follow bags advice and before you game, preferrably on a quiet network run a speed test a couple of times and punch in those numbers as that's a pretty big difference in speeds, but again 70 / 7 is plenty for gaming and for the rest of your household to do what ever they want to without effecting you.
