mxHOLGE
Long time no see since I've refused to buy COD this year (feels awesome!) I got some issues though I need some help! I've changed ISP and got Fiber connection. The big issue is that the WAN port is busy on the ISP router (Netduma's port). The fiber cable is connected to a broadbands switch (Inteno XG6846) after that "LAN1" into the red WAN port on the ISP router (Technicolor TG799vac xtream). I tried to connect the R1 directly to the LAN1 on the broadbandswitch but nothing seems to happend, not either with R1 to the ISP router into port 2... Well here I am... Do I need to buy a router with two WAN? The force is weak without my R1!
e38BimmerFN
Is the Technicolor TG799vac xtream the main host modem/ONT for the fiber? Have you tried connecting the R1 to the Technicolor? I presume the configuration should look like this: Fiber from ISP>Technicolor Modem/ONT><R1 router<>Switch after R1. If this the the Technicolor modem: http://www.technicolor.com/en/solutions-services/connected-home/broadband-devices/telco-gateways/tg799vac-xtream Then this has a built in router already. This would be a double NAT condition. Might try putting the R1 into it's DMZ and see.
TheSwede
I'm also from sweden. I have telia open fiber with telia as isp. I have connected the R1 directly to my incoming switch, then the vacxtream behind the R1, just for Wifi. Switch(Lan1 red)>Wan R1>Lan1 R1>Lan1 vacxtreme. I have disabled Dhcp and nat on vacxtreme. I've heard that it could be a dhcp lease time about 20 min for telia.(not sure) Maybe wait a while after you plugged in the R1 and restart. You shouldn't need the vacxtreme, if you don't want to use it.

mxHOLGE
Welcome to the forum! Thanks for the great advice, let us know how you get on mx Thanks guys... I connected the R1 directly to the incoming switch. Today it seems to work fine. But the speed with the R1 and the ISP router is almost 200mbit lower I enabled turbo mode yesterday during testing...@fraser what do I need to do? I followed these steps: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022366-why-is-my-connection-speed-lower-but still the same speed. I will do some more testing tomorrow if maybe the ISP decreased the speed from 250mbit to 100mbit....just speculating I'm also from sweden. I have telia open fiber with telia as isp. mxHOLGE
Set the congestion controls for 100 each and then speed test. I did I need to double check the ISP router later today to see if it gets high speed like two days ago.

With only R1 95 down and 96 up. The settings above did I change two days ago so I only double checked them. I used the same cable and the internet connection speed is set to 297/123. I got 1.03.6g. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 12, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 12, 2017 Are ALL devices connected to the R1 when you do this test? If you enable super turbo mode as well do you get full speeds?
mxHOLGE
Only the PC is connected. Super Turbo mode did not change the speed.

Do a wired speed test from a PC Post in the 1 on 1 section: http://forum.netduma.com/forum/66-request-1-on-1/and I will have a look. Please note I need around a days notice. Please read this first before making the post: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/11450-read-before-posting-a-1-on-1-request/ @Netduma Fraser is the PPPoE and congestion control working correctly on the new firmware? to remind you upload works just as it should, download does not. That is something we're getting tested in closed beta as we don't have PPPoE at the office.
