Move stalled for a couple of weeks, so I re-hooked everything up as was. Upon reconnection, wireless SSID is not broadcasting. I can't access 192.168.88.1--the router's interface. The hardware reset button does absolutely nothing when pressed or held for a few--it used to give an audible beep and proceed through a reboot of resources, I believe. However, I still have access to the internet as well as the gateway/router interface it's attached to. Just to clarify: Arris gateway/router---->netduma r1---->wired laptop or wired xbox one. Laptop and xbox one can connect to the internet, xbox live, and the Arris gateway/router interface: 192.168.0.1. Laptop or Xbox one CAN'T connect to 192.168.88.1--netduma r1 interface--or see see the SSID broadcasting. Finally moved and tried to connect again--same problems. now it's: Different Arris gateway/router---->netduma r1---->wired laptop or wired xbox one. Laptop and xbox one can connect to the internet, xbox live, and the new Arris gateway/router interface: 192.168.0.1. Laptop or Xbox one CAN'T connect to 192.168.88.1--netduma r1 interface--or see see the SSID broadcasting. It's as if the router isn't being recognized and just passing the signal straight through it's circuitry and OS. I can't see it on the Arris network manager's page either: network manager shows a list of clients attached at the time of inquiry and the router isn't showing up at all. And the hardware reset button is unresponsive. I've made two general inquiries to the website staff page and received substandard replies: either the replier missed the problem and just returned the basic unplug the router, access the interface, check the broadcast SSID, and reboot or thought I had just purchased the item and could return it because I was having issues connecting to it. I was an early adopter and bought the router back in April of 2015, I believe, and I just wanted some real tech help or to reach out to someone to see if something similar has happened to them. I really don't want to buy another one, but it kind of seems like this one just hit the limit and I may not have any other options?!?! Love the product. Just want to exhaust all ideas before I re-up for another one. Playing games without it has become a bit miserable, honestly. I greatly appreciate any help or suggestions and will be following up if there needs to be more clarification or progress. Thanks again tech staff and community. fuzzy clam Posted February 3, 2017 Share Posted February 3, 2017 Just curious you can't access the duma's interface even when your hardwired to the duma on your laptop ? Ole1ball Posted February 9, 2017 Author Share Posted February 9, 2017 OK, just read through your troubleshooting article and here we go: Disconnected the netduma from the hub and then connected an Ethernet cable from Port 2 on the Duma to my laptop and tried to access 192.168.1.1 through Chrome, Firefox, and IE. All 3 failed to connect to the Duma interface and the Chrome and IE browsers let me run the windows diagnostic which came up with: "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. The troubleshooter just resets the network adapter to try and reconnect. The network status page in Windows 10 settings says, "your device is connected, but you might not be able to access anything on the network." Short story: couldn't access the interface after separation from the hub and trying step #1 of the article. Hope that was helpful in return. Connection-specific DNS suffix. . : (BLANK) Link-local IPv6 Address. . . . . . . : has a number Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : has a number Subnet Mask. . . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0 Default Gateway. . . . . . . . . . . : (BLANK) Maybe there is the problem?!?! Doesn't report as a LAN or have a default gateway listed--more so the gateway. Anyways just wanted to relay some more information your way. As is the #2 light on top of the unit when I plug in the Ethernet cord into the port in the back. Two other things just that seem odd and maybe you missed or didn't ring as extremely important: when I hit the reset switch, it doesn't respond. I believe it used to make an audible beep and then proceed through its reintilaiazing setup. Now it does nothing, no beep, no signs of anything happening at all. And also, my IPv4 Address isn't using an address from the APIPA range. Like the router's DNS isn't working. Just two thoughts as Im not 100% sure if they mean anything or not. Unplug the router from the power for 24 hours, then try connecting it back up as normal, can you access the internet, can you access the interface? Isolated the router from the hub and still could not connect to the routers interface or see the wireless ssid broadcast for wireless. Ethernet cord into ports 2-4 straight into laptop. Wireless turned on to check for SSID. Also tried to hit the reset button and nothing happened. Green LED on the power and corresponding ethernet ports light up and blink with the ports. Attach an ethernet cord from a new hub--tried at someones else's house--to port 1 and then have internet access, but no netduma router interface or SSID still. Basically, I'm still in the same boat at a different location as well. . . I also went ahead and purchased a new router from amazon actually last night because I couldn't take it anymore. I would still like to figure this out if it's possible whether that means continued troubleshooting, 1 on 1, private connection, or unit sent out for work, etc. . .I appreciate the help and continued support.
