I have friends who live abroad - most of them in countries which I would not allow to connect to me in an online game - and we often talk on Whatsapp. Would these friends not be able to message me on Whatsapp whilst I have my settings on? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I don't know very much about the technical side of technology.

I am in the UK and meet up with friends from all over the USA to game on a regular basis with not to many issues. Occasional nat issue but that is usually resolved with a console reboot.
