boxone
Just wondering how this is done. I play battlefield 4 on PC and pings are usually good but wanted to avoid any flooding from Netflix users in the house. Thanks!
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted May 9, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted May 9, 2015 Put the bandwidth caps on about 60-70% and this will stop any congestion caused by Netflix. This means that your pings will stay low even if there is someone in your house saturation your connection by watching Netflix.
Zennon
Read through this http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=cc_settings&s[]=congestion&s[]=control This should help
boxone
Thanks guys. I did the bandwidth cap. The part I was confused with is the host filtering. I can point a service to my PC but there's not much game settings is there. Do you recommend just putting TCP and UDP Service to my pc on Host filtering? I was thinking that would be needed for the Antiflood to work (like Service to my Xbox One) or does Host Filtering have nothing to do with Antiflood. Thanks again

Thanks again You would need to know the ports the game was using to be able to use TCP/UDP. I think AW on PC works by selecting Xbox Live so you could try that for any other games you are playing to see if it works

Administrators Netduma Iain Posted May 10, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 10, 2015 thanks everyone. Just for your info, the anti-flood feature is the one designed to stop other people/devices making you lag. It takes the aggregate data rates for entire connection and makes sure there is no queuing ergo there is no self inflicted lag.
