Bosskråka
Hi, My setup is ISP Modem/Router (bridge mode) --> Asus RT AC87U (I use this one for wifi atm) --> Netduma (ps4 and PC are wired directly in the Netduma) --> Switch (where semi important peripherals are connected to). ColonicBoom
The Netduma. Because it's last in the chain, otherwise it can't control any spikes caused by people connecting to the Asus. Or swap the Netduma and the Asus around. Then you can put the Asus in 'Access Point' mode and use its wifi.

I'll go for your last advice; put the Asus at the end of the line since it has a guest-wifi option. So the Asus will basically only be an expensive wifi access point then I guess? Appreciate your reply.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 5, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 5, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! Definitely recommend the AP option as then all devices will be behind the R1 and you can make use of the congestion control.
Bosskråka
That's how mine is set up too. Hey, welcome to the forum! Definitely recommend the AP option as then all devices will be behind the R1 and you can make use of the congestion control. Thanks alot! Now one more issue has come up. I'm on fiber-optics 300/300, when I run Speedtest.net everything routed through the Netduma I get maxed out at 80/80ish, if I connect the cable directly into the PC instead of the Netduma it gives me around 302/305. I've searched for "slow connections" and some other keywords and read the pinned Q&A, but I couldn't find any similar issues (which kinda baffled me since it's usually a hot topic in the network world I would guess:)). I've also clicked around in the GUI without any luck. I think going from pre-emptive to reactive gave me a little boost (10/10 maybe or something) since you recomended that somewhere in the help section. It's probably a obvious solution, but could you give me a hint?
ColonicBoom
Hi Bosskraka, For full speeds use: Reactive Algorithm 100% anti-flood Share excess enabled Reset device prioritisation & click apply Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc Disable deep packet in misc Enable turbo mode Enable super turbo mode Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. Do a wired speed test from a PC. That should see you max it out.

PharmDawgg
Great. This goes to show everyone that with the right settings the R1 can attain your speeds. I will close this post since this issue has been resolved. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to post.
