Dillinger Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Hi there - Welcome to the Forum. Let's see if we can get you some help, but first we need a little bit more information from you. Can you please take a look at THIS THREAD where you can find some quick and easy answers, along with some support criteria that we need to get you the RIGHT help. EDIT: The 1:1 section is for when Fraser or one of the other NetDuma reps ask to set up some time to go over your application because the basic stuff doesn't work and we have a unique situation. As this is a basic setup question, I have merged the threads here to make sure you are getting the right advice without having multiple threads competing for resources. Cheers, JD
abc123 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 it sounds like it doesn't have internet access... when you go to the Netduma GUI 192.168.88.1 by default do the twitter post load? if not, you don't have internet to the netduma. make sure you have something like this: ISP--------->Modem------------->Netduma----------->Xbox if it is: ISP--------->Modem/Router---------->Netduma--------->Xbox it might not work at all...this is because your ISP router might not allow sub-routers/subnets/maybe they have the same DHCP Range
EmbraceTheJedi Posted December 2, 2016 Author Posted December 2, 2016 i have a comcast gateway idk if that will help clear up anything or make anything easier? i did all the steps and it still doesn't work. i did the twitter post load and it worked just fine. but when i go on my xbox is still says nat type unavailable and that i have no internet connection.

Also why overtime i go to the VPN settings on the netduma is keep telling me to upgrade it or to put a newer vpn because its the old version. is the vpn useful? should i enable it or put information in it? if so how do i do it? make sure you are running the latest version of Netduma's Firmware. Scroll to the bottom and it will say a version number: R1 debug version 1.03.6g running on rb-951g-2hnd .
EmbraceTheJedi Posted December 3, 2016 Author Posted December 3, 2016 my version is 1.03.6h and when i press upgrade it says failed to download firmware, please try again later.
EmbraceTheJedi Posted December 3, 2016 Author Posted December 3, 2016 i also keep getting a message saying WARNING something went wrong when trying to ping. please make sure no devices are VPN'd and that your firewall isn't blocking the ping result. What does that mean? I'm also having a hard time connecting to other friends when they invite me. how can i fix this also?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 4, 2016 Administrators Posted December 4, 2016 okay go it! it worked thanks! Also why overtime i go to the VPN settings on the netduma is keep telling me to upgrade it or to put a newer vpn because its the old version. is the vpn useful? should i enable it or put information in it? if so how do i do it? That's nothing to worry about. I would never recommend gaming through a VPN unless absolutely necessary. If requires a separate VPN subscription. It sounds like you don't need it so don't worry about the feature. my version is 1.03.6h and when i press upgrade it says failed to download firmware, please try again later. You're on the latest version. There is nothing for you to upgrade to currently. i also keep getting a message saying WARNING something went wrong when trying to ping. please make sure no devices are VPN'd and that your firewall isn't blocking the ping result. What does that mean? I'm also having a hard time connecting to other friends when they invite me. how can i fix this also? Follow this guide to solve the ping issue: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022397-why-can-t-i-ping- You need to add your friends to your allow list: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022357--with-the-geo-filter-how-do-i-play-with-friends-
