Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted May 8, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted May 8, 2015 Have you tried reatarting the Netduma?
Zennon
So you have tried all the normal fixes and changed channels but have you found out which channels are making it cut out. Here is a web page with lots of devices and their wifi analyzer counterparts for testing which channels are congested. http://www.howtogeek.com/197268/how-to-find-the-best-wi-fi-channel-for-your-router-on-any-operating-system/

Thunderwing Doomslayer
used the app and it says the best is channel 6 , im on that one .
Zennon
I would suggest using that channel with the wifi work around turned off and the other routers wifi off , reboot the duma after turning the work around off, and re-test.

Zennon
So wifi is working now and you need your speeds up? Read through this if you have not already http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=why_is_my_speed_lower&s[]=speeds Wifi on any device is usually lower than wired, i suggest wired over wifi where possible. Thunderwing Doomslayer
wifi always worked its just very inconsistent , when i reset the duma it gives me 60 on the download for a little while then it will drop to 15ish to 40ish and sometimes it disconnects , i do use wired and that is fine and always gives about 94 but i have a few devices that use wifi . Zennon
I am wondering if a neighbour turns their wifi or router off and at certain times turn it back on. Could you test it with a anaylizer when its working fine and then when its slows or drops out retest to see if they are using channel 6 when the speeds slow or drop? Administrators Netduma Iain Posted May 10, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 10, 2015 Also Wifi suffer horribly from collisions, so if another device starts using the wifi the throughput will go down. Honestly wifi is just a pain in the ass. I hear AC wifi is really good, but unfortunately the duma hardware doesn't support that frequency If you have another router with AC you could put it in access point mode and get the best of both worlds.
