bagsta69
OK folks I was in the market for a new tv/games display and pc monitor and as I will be picking up a PS4 pro on Thursday at some point figured I would buy a 4K jobby. Looking at input lag on several different makes and models it would appear that Sony (I have always had Sony Bravia's due to low input lag) appear to have dropped the ball on this one and after processing add over 100ms of lag to your game play. After much research and swearing and cursing at the lack of information out there that is believable I ended up getting a mid range Samsung. It has a game mode and reports 18ms input lag in game mode. In Hdr mode this figure jumps up to around the 60 mark but then drops again to around 21 ms for 4k in game mode. Now this is where I get confused as I didn't think that you could use the 4K bit of the PS4 pro in game mode as the game mode gets rid of any processing. Anybody technically minded that can shed any light on the subject or is this going to be one of those suck it and see tweak stuff like frame rates and output settings till you just take up knitting instead? bagsta69
avoid gaming on a tv is possible bud and go for a high end gaming monitor such as benq! I hear you buddy but they don't do one big enough in my price range. Also at my age 50-60 ms aint gonna make that much difference to be fair. lol #myeyesareoldandbent. Slipknot31286sic6
Delay on top of Ms delay is how it will probably be. HDD bottleneck Ps4 is nothing like pc. I think it will stress system more with enhanced graphics. And benefit ppl on old ps4. Enhanced graphics will cause frame drops on new system for sure. fuzzy clam
If I were you bags I would just stay with your monitor and your PS4 and keep your TV for watching movies and shows. I like the 4K TV's but just for watching,I'll keep gaming on my BenQ and keep them separate...

Haven't had any frame drops, and the graphics are amazing. It also hasn't impacted any gameplay either.
