Keep needing to log back in to the Forums???

Recommended Posts

For the past week, I have been required to log in to the forums page every time I visit.
Usually I only had to log in when I restarted my PC or switched to a different device.

If I close Chrome after visiting the forums then reopen Chrome and the forums page, I have to log back in again.

Anyone else having this issue?

Doesn't matter what I'm using, PC, Mac, Safari.

Cookies not enabled. Or settings set to delete sensitive data everytime close. Which is how I do mine. Safer

Not that. Just checked to see if maybe an update changed something.

I know that when I tried to log in last week, I was required to change the password, but I haven't found any setting in the forums that allows me to stay logged in.

When you sign back in remember to tick (remember me)

We haven't updated anything on our end and looking at your account in the admin panel there is nothing that would be causing that issue. I cant really advise anything further than what other people have said.

Does anyone else also have this issue?

Are you using a program like ccleaner that would be wiping cookies unless added to the white list?

You say you do not allow chrome to remember the password I would allow chrome to remember in any case.

Well I just had to change my password again.

I was entering the correct password but it kept saying invalid password.

This is the second time in a week that I've had to change my password.

I am positive that I was entering the correct password.

I use 1Password to keep a record of my user names and passwords.

So I'm not sure why I have to keep creating a new password.

And Yes Zennon I do use CCleaner but I go in and edit the Cookies before deleting.

I will go through CCleaner settings again to make sure nothing changed.

Not sure this is the problem because like I said before, this is happening on everything I use, including windows 10, windows XP, Mac OS10, iPhone safari.

Okay I have two theories, one I will mention, the other I won't as it's an option I can change that would effect everyone though probably not in a bad way. Hopefully the first theory works out.

Can you try signing in without using your password manager, it may not be liking it for some reason. I've had it before on other websites where it doesn't like auto filled content.

I don't use 1password to sign in.

I only use it when it keeps saying i entered the wrong password.

I would say that if I'm the only one having this issue then you shouldn't change anything especially if it would affect everyone.

I can live with it.

Thanks for investigating this with me.
