Had Netduma for awhile...

Recommended Posts

I've had the Netduma for awhile, and everything seemed to work okay...but, as of lately I've been experienced like invisible disconnects on all the wireless equipment attached to the Netduma. The hardwires don't disconnect, but the Internet won't load at that point unless I'm using my PC. Always forces me to reset the entire Netduma at which point it doesn't save any of my settings and I have to go back in and manually put them in. I've tried to automatic settings and the same thing still occurs. Starting to think I need a replacement Netduma as this one might be "broken", but it still works. I'm failing at explaining this the best I can, but I may need some 1 on 1 assistance to resolve this. I think my location has A LOT to do with it, but I don't know for sure.

Hey Veno,

Try enabling Wifi Workaround in Settings tab> Misc.

You could also choose a different wifi channel in Settings tab> Wifi

This will prevent interference with neighbours wifi signals who are already on the same channel as you. You can download free 'app' software for diagnostics in wifi on any phone which will show all the relevent information you need ;)

After you set up the Netduma, always reboot from Settings> Misc  This will save your current settings. Pulling the power lead out to reboot will revert to the previous settings before you made any changes.

If it were me I'd save your settings in the Profiles tab then export the file to your PC for future reference. That way if you do 'reset the whole thing', you can quickly import it back to the Netduma :)

Is there a recommended channel I should be on 1-11?? I enabled WiFi Workaround so we'll see if that prevents the interference like you said. I had my profile saved in the settings, but as you said when I unplug it, it reverts back to default settings and deletes my profile. I'll try and save the profile again.

Also what app software are you referring to?

inSSIDer is what I use. Great program.

As for what channels to use, Only ever use 1, 6, or 11 on 2.4ghz.

You want to use a channel that does not have any other wifi networks that overlap.

So if someone is on channel 3 in your area, Choose channel 11 because that network on channel 3 is overlapping on channels 1 and 6.
