dannyfanwin
I finally got my Netduma in last night and after setting it up, I have to say this thing is amazing. It took me roughly a year to decide if I wanted to go through with it and I honestly wish I had gotten this thing sooner. The Crucible in Destiny was so much more enjoyable with connections because great thanks to that Geo Filter, for the most part. I had a question that I couldn't find the answer to anywhere. Last night in most games, the average peer ping for all the games I was getting into was roughly 50ms, which was awesome. However, there was one game I had towards the end of the evening where one individual was red bar / spiking anywhere from 100 - 400 ms of ping throughout the match that I could see in the "Peer Ping" graph. Which was fine to deal with that match since I got them initially into my game since their location was within my Geo Filter. I know you can "Deny" someone to lessen the chances you'll connect to them in the future, but with 11 other people showing up on the Geo Filter, is there a way to quickly tell which of them was that really laggy connection so that I can put them on the "Deny" list immediately. Or do I have to click on each player on the Geo Filter and "ping" each one throughout to match to find out exactly which person was the one with the horrible lag? Thanks in advance! nffcbaz72
As far as i know, its a process of elimination, as you said, click each player and watch the ping, you'll know who it is, then go from there. Baz.
Slipknot31286sic6
As of right now there is no way other than guessing or picking furthest away dot. Supposedly in the works but as of now it's more of a joke. Netduma let's u see it but other than banning all Dota in ur lobby. You'll never what what dot links to graph. I understand blocking ip and psn. But cmon it's like it shows us "hey someone has Shitty connection and you can't do anything about it other than leave". . So we wait. Right know they more working on the network monitor instead of why people want this router. Number 1 cod and stop lag. . Which or does bit going next stop we are blocked like a Tease. So we play waiting game
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted September 15, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted September 15, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! We're working on new software right now and could potentially add that to the features; the Geofilter will be far more intuitive on DumaOS, which will be available to all existing customers. There's currently nothing like the Geofilter available in the world, so we haven't quite perfected it with the first build. In reply to Slipknot, we're working on every feature; the Network Monitor preview we revealed was just a glimpse.
Slipknot31286sic6
Netduma jack. I know one thing at a time. Believe me watching and waiting. You guys can't let out the secrets yet. I jus think that part of geo filter needs to be addressed asap. If you guys want to prevent exploit. Have it flushed weekly/daily automatically or something. Nothing pisses off cod players more when 1 guy running 1 bar or insane fluctuate ping and dominanting lobby cuz he isn't where he claims he is on people's screens. But we wait.
