Geo Filter Circles Vanish

Recommended Posts

Very intriguing! A7 mentioned this recently to me, if you have an Xbox it doesn't occur if you do the same thing is that right?

Would be good if we could get a 1 on 1 on the go and see what can be done about this.

I quit black ops 3 Fraser and load it up again and it then shows the servers on the radar but it dont last.

There were a lot of weird things going on with PS4 yesterday and the same thing was happening to me.But it was random at best and seemed to be an issue with PS4 not with host filtering but I could be wrong.

I had the whole country covered in circles from 5-6 games in a row,it always showed host but never seen that many dots on the GF before,I'm guessing the servers were overloaded as couldn't get anything but P2P games for almost an hour,no dedi's even showed on GF.

Ok so this brings up a question from me. When I initially go into game and verify open nat etc. I see the dedicated server locations globally. After a few minutes of waiting they disappear. Is that supposed to happen? I always thought it was just a preview screenshot of known dedicated ids.

Once I start searching for a match I get locks and eventually I see a large circle/hhost pop up and stay as well as the other player locations. They all stay on map until I leave the lobby after match.

Yes that is supposed to happen. From what I can tell they ping all the servers on load up.

Thanks for the reply, didn't mean to thread hi-jack. I thought the dedis disappearance over time was normal activity and yes the locks are servers outside of my selected/defined parameters being locked or blocked out due to my settings. Thanks again for the answers. Sometimes you think you know but it always helps to get a second opinion or facts.

Locks are servers out of ur ping or geo area. If u turn on game . Click show dormant hosts. You can see every server. At the main screen. Where guy holds guns

When the game first loads it shows a load of padlocks across the world...

These aren't all accessible dedicated servers and I'm not sure what any of them are.

On Xbox One there is only one bank of servers for Europe (Ireland), yet it shows a 'padlock' in UK (Southern England) where I live so it's not outside of my filter range. There are several others across the continent which can NEVER be connected to for games as well. And the same thing happens when the Geo Filter is off completely.

I think these are matchmaking servers or chat servers... Whatever they are, they aren't 'game servers' that I can access.

Unless the Netduma is showing me the PS4 servers as well as the Xbox servers (I don't have a Playstation).
