DanologyUK
Before i pull the trigger and buy this....My router is downstairs but my gaming equipment is upstairs so I've run 2 CAT 6 cables up into my gaming room. One connects into a switch and the other direct to my pc. Will I still get all the benefits with my consoles connected to the switch?
Zennon
Hi welcome to the forum. Set up would be.... ISP modem/router > Cat6 > Netduma > switch So all devices are running thought the Netduma so you benefit from congestion control stopping devices on your network from creating local congestion resulting in high jitter. DanologyUK
Yes that's correct ISP -> CAT6 -> Netduma -> CAT6 -> Switch -> Consoles I'm with Virgin and have seen some jitter <10ms by running pingplotter. I assume this router wont do anything to improve this.
Zennon
Iain is working on a new firmware which will try and combat ISP jitter.
