UK_Wildcats_Fans Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 My company is finally expanding and updating the websense filters which is blocking the Netduma forums because it uses http links vs https. Why not use https if we are signed in? Just a general question. Yes, I know I am supposed to be working. There are lots of times when I am traveling, working late, etc. where I take breaks on the forum.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 4, 2016 Administrators Posted August 4, 2016 I'll look into it for you!

Zennon Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Thank you The link is for a browser plugin which is not an install,no good if they only use IE or Edge though.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 5, 2016 Administrators Posted August 5, 2016 Unfortunately we're not able to do it at the moment but I will keep it as a future task for when we can
UK_Wildcats_Fans Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 Thank you. I found a partial workaround using proxysite website, but I cannot post things or see some links.
UK_Wildcats_Fans Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 I found a way to now post, but it is limited. I don't see the full editor options, some links and I cannot edit my posts.
Dillinger Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 You know, we had a similar issue on another forum I was moderating a few years back. The site owner was pretty savvy and he made a copy, or a mirror maybe, with a link down in the very bottom footer that you could click. Once I hit that, I was able to do all the normal stuff around the forum through my normally blocked and off limits work computer. Sorry I don't have any more details than that for you.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 7, 2016 Administrators Posted August 7, 2016 If anyone knows what exactly what that could be ^ I'll be happy to look into it
Zennon Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Was it a SLL certificate JD ? or a one off proxy just for you? Comodo the makers of the well regarded free anti-virus and firewall have free for 90 days cert here. https://secure.instantssl.com/products/SSLIdASignup1a
