A7Legit
I think the member known as maazsk97 is from Saudi Arabia, ask him. I doubt you'd get a refund based on how Call of Duty works in the Middle East, it wouldn't be a fault in the router nor the fault of the Netduma team. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 28, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 28, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! As you are in Saudi there aren't any nearby dedicated servers so yes you should be able to force P2P games, just ensure your radius is wide enough. In regards to refund you can see the terms here: https://netduma.com/terms/
maazsk97
Yes you can force p2p and sometimes it can take up to 1-2 minutes to find a local host depending on the number of players online in your region. I prefer dedicated servers as they give me a constant 65-75ms ping while local hosts are mostly unstable but if you have decent upload bandwidth you can host lobbies. Btw which ISP are you with? You can play in 4 bars all the time In Middle East, you are ******** ... 100-330 ms . On Average, its 150 - 165 ms on a good connection to European didicated Servers On USA, Average 220 ms I think if this router can be sold in our Market. Im sure you won't be disappointed with the router. I have been using it for a month and it has solved alot of connection issues for me.

Dillinger
In theory you MAY be able to pull host a majority of the games, but the problem would be in populating the lobby with anyone to play against. The matchmaking, as it stands, is forcing players to connect to their "nearest" dedicated server as their primary search criteria. In the case of a lot of our world wide customer base, they DO NOT have a dedicated server down the street or even in their same country, thus they are pulled into another region. With your lone, stand alone Duma, you will be able to stop the forced dedicated server connection - but other players will still be "directed" by match-making to connect to dedicated boxes first. Having done this myself to try and force P2P connections I have found wait times in excess of 5 minutes, with one or two people in the lobby bouncing in and out. It never really populates to have a full game without a significant wait time. If you are able to get 12 people in a lobby, and no one rage quits out, it's possible to run 3-5 games back to back without issue however. The match-making will recognize that as an active game, but whether anyone connects is random (at best). When IW drops, I suspect the forced dedicated server requirement will be lifted and BO3 will switch to P2P just like BO1 and BO2.
maazsk97
The matchmaking picks up hosts by looking at their connection quality and speed. Given your speed you should be host most of the time. Dillinger is right and the only people that will connect to you might have a very bad connection and reverted to p2p as they were blocked by dedicated servers or those that own a Netduma like the rest of us. Dillinger
I assume you are talking in regards to who gets host in the lobby for P2P, right? Because right now the match making is definitely driven by dedicated server connection.

Hardly 2500 people play that game and they waste money on renting servers for that game lol. I don't understand why they can't just stop hosting dedis for old cods and host servers in more countries for bo3? 1 server in UAE or Saudi Arabia will take care of all middle east countries and Pakistan and India too. I remember at one time I wanted to buy a subscription to BeIN Sports (MENA) and then I needed a smartdns to manipulate their end to think I was in the Middle East or North Africa to obtain the service, when I asked multiple SmartDNS and VPN services why it was such a difficult task, they said bandwidth and servers in those regions is much more expensive than in other parts of the world and that quality would be compromised. Take from that what you will but it certainly explains why EA, Activision, Microsoft (Azure) and Sony have no dedicated servers in the MENA region. Dillinger
I wonder why so expensive? A/C costs would be high, bordering on excessive, but given the region I would suspect there is a clientele that could afford it. Good to know - Thanks A7
maazsk97
Bandwidth can be a problem due to poor infrastructure here. UAE has the fastest internet out of all middle east countries and the whole UAE is covered with fiber optics. Valve has servers for CS GO and some other famous pc games in UAE, dubai and they work great for CS GO. I play CS GO very rarely but i always get good connection in that game. Always <50ms ping. I know that Activision will never host servers here as we all know how greedy they are but they need to atleast give us p2p and fix foreign connection issues. Dillinger
That's interesting, but I am having a hard time believing it. Back in the late 90's I was working in the Cable TV field and we were working with the very beginning of new tech called Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM). Which is a fancy way of saying you can put a whole shit ton of information on a single fiber, by creating colored lanes within the glass. At the time we could transmit a lot of data, but I can't remember for sure the per second rate, but in two directions, in the same glass. It has to have advanced well beyond what I saw by now. The problem was that was only effective to the Node. Beyond that you can't do much without a FTTC infrastructure. If they fiber optics over there, I would think it would had to have been a natural fit. *shrug*
Believerguy
I have ordered it. In Saudi Arabia. Last year I think it Accumulated sales of 1 million consoles for PS4 Companies claim the servers are not worth the investment . The cost is high. Its not worth the return In real life I have rarely met 15 - 29 years old that doesn't have a ps4 Sony has 80% market share of consoles in Saudi Arabia What is fun in Saudi Arabia ? 1) Food 2) Gaming 3) Beach 4) Malls 5) Sheasha / Hookah / Hubbly Bubbly That could means we play on average more than other countries . Because the amount of fun places you can go to is very limited In the west, I m sure they have lots of fun places like cinama, Bars, Night Clubs, Dating , historical places. Nice parks, etc. We don't that. Maybe gaming companies has to put more effort for our region. Who cares
maazsk97
Shisha is my favourite i drink it with friends mostly when going to places such as Taif its soo much fun in cold weather. Going to malls is just boring for me. I wish they had cinemas here I feel like everything is forbidden here. My big bro lives in Australia and he can go to bars, night clubs, cinemas + much more entertainment there, he is soo lucky.
