Netduma Upnp Problems , DMZ Feature MISSING!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello Netduma Administrators & Members,

First of all i'm very happy with the netduma geo filter, ping assist features! This Workes Great...

But i noticed some things that doesnt' work so properly like Upnp!

I'm having some issues with de PS4 chat function Error NAT Popup and not able to chat .

Setup:

1. Netgear Nighthawk R7000 every IP static

2. Netduma R1 placed in DMZ In WAN settings

3. PS4 static

4. PC static

Everything is wired with UTP CAT6!, wifi off, DHCP static 2 devices manager, upnp enabeld + automatic portforwarding,

Trouble issues:

1. If you reboot the R1 router the upnp automatic port forwarding disapeers, with cookies enabled!

2. I also tried hard port forwarding from the  http://portforward.comsite for PS4 and Blackops 3 same issues, Upnp 2x features OFF.

3.I had done a hard reset, only upnp , only hard portforwarding it's a bit buggy to me.

One importend Feature i'm missing is DMZ:

I would like to see Netduma tech guys to implement a DMZ function in de Netduma Router so every port is open for my PS4.

This DMZ function is the thing i'm missing in the Netduma R1 features!

This was my older settings Netgear Nighthawk R7000 and ps4 in DMZ and it worked flawlessy for every port and chat!

What other solution does Netduma or members offer?

Most regards,

Scorpio

Hi, welcome to the forum! Find out what your NAT is in console -> Network Settings. You also need to add your friends to the allow list; you can find out how to by using this link: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=adding_friends_to_your_allow_list

UPnP only opens the ports when it detects that it needs it; therefore if your device is off, it won't open the port. Our router doesn't have DMZ currently, but it should be added in the next upgrade. Let us know whether this fixes your problem :)

Even with Netduma in DMZ behind another router, some good advice from me would be to manually port forward certain ports.

I have the same problem getting moderate nat type, even with my main router's firewall disabled and so forth.

PlayStation 4 requires you to forward the 80,443,1935,3074,3478-3480

All ports TCP and UDP
