Craig Lilly
Hi all, I have one thread live currently with the exact same question (I know I shouldn't) but think I've put it in the wrong section and its not looking like many people are viewing it. I have set up the Netduma to a satisfactory state (AMAZING Results so far BTW), but am struggling with connecting my Sky Box and On Demand Connector. Can anyone who may have done this previously offer advice on the best way? Thanks
Craig Lilly
UPDATE: With the help of Google and various other forums I managed to solve the issue. I must stress though that I have 2 ISP's at home and ended up using my Virgin Superhub to connect the Sky on demand to. I haven't solved the issue through Netduma although I'm sure I would have done soon enough with the help of the team. This just gives me my sky internet completely free of other devices now...lovely! PharmDawgg
Sorry for any inconvenience. Someone should be responding to you question soon. I don't have the devices or am familiar with the devices you speak of but we have many members on this forum and I got a feeling someone can help you with your issues. Craig Lilly
Hi Buck, I am confident that with a bit more time this would have been resolved. When I say other forums it was in my ISP's and it was a case of finding out how to use my Virgin Broadband to connect my Sky Demand to. It's actually better for me this way but for anyone else in the situation that may not have 2 ISP's it would be great if anyone's knows. Zennon
I am not sure about SKY but with BTs YouView you have to use the homehub as it is locked to it as it phones home through the hub. Maybe a member that uses this service will see the thread soon and comment.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted June 23, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 23, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! Great to hear you got it sorted. I'm not familiar with Sky myself, but as Zennon said above, some of these TV boxes are required to be connected through the Hub. What was the problem when you connected it to the Netduma, and how did you solve it using the Virgin Hub?
Craig Lilly
Thanks Jack. Luckily Sky have enabled their services to be connected to other ISP Broadbands now. 3 options: WIFI, WPS or Wired. With WPS you can go for PIN or "Press & Hold" if the facility is there to do so. It really was quite simple actually. The only thing I'm unsure of, is of someone doesn't have the option of using another broadband connection then how to connect the on demand/sky box to the Netduma Router. But for now I'm sorted. Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted June 24, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks for the information Craig; we'll look further into connecting Sky Boxes to the Netduma. I'm glad your issue was resolved - if you have any more problems feel free to make another post. Thanks.
