jaylen76
Hi, I love the netduma. It's improved my latency over my past router amazingly, gaming with it is great. Well I've posted recently about not being able to find opponents in certain games. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/15920-cant-connect-to-a-host-in-easports-games/I thought I had it fixed but it only worked for a day or two. I've literally spent all day today on the forums looking up things that could be my issue and working with different settings accordingly(UPnP, portforwarding, cloud settings, geo-filter on/off, profiles, reboot, factory reset, literally everthing). If I'm playing fifa it'll start searching, some hosts will pop up on the geo-filter and the circle will get large as if I'm connected then it'll go dormant and the search will end with the unable to find opponents message. UFC the same. On Madden, if I let it, It'll search for hours, do the same and when I come look at my computer screen my map will be full of dormant host dots.(I have done this while at work) End result being I still can't play online in any game made by EA Sports. Majority of my games are made by EA Sports so this is an issue. I'm at the point where I'm so frustrated I'm done with it. Would you guys be willing to exchange this netduma for another so we can see if the router I received was faulty or can I just get a refund? Thanks. Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted June 10, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 10, 2016 Yeah it does Where do you see the triangles show up on the GeoFilter? It sounds like a server could be getting blocked. When you disable it, is there a server that it seams to always connect you to which is blocked when the filter is enabled? fakkel
I think he needs to whitelist a server, that is probably blocked at the moment. I had the same thing before, and it didn't matter if the Geofilter was on or off, I just couldn't find a game. How I got it to work again: Slide the Filter by Range to the Max (20000+ km). Then start the game with the Host Filtering/GeoFilter disabled/unticked, but keep hosts enabled! Then you should see ''An Inside filter range host''(red circle) pop up - instead of ''Outside filter range host'' (Triangle). Then 'click' on the red circle and allow (quality 100%), so you can always connect to the EA server! There is a change you need to enable/tick and disable/untick GeoFilter a couple of time when you are in-game if the red circle doesn't immediately pop up for you. If you can't get it to work, you can pm me, and I can maybe try to set it up for you, by using TeamViewer. greets, fakkel

When you disable it, is there a server that it seams to always connect you to which is blocked when the filter is enabled? Thats the thing while the game is loading up no triangles pop up at all just the red circle for the EA Server in California.(Im in Georgia by the way) When I have the filter range wide enough to cover California it shows up and connects to it and even when the range is smaller it does as well. It's just when finding a game it'll show random little circles they'll get big as if I'm getting into a game then go small and eventually dormant again and the game(madden, fifa, UFC) doesnt even acknowledge a player had been found it just keeps searching. The server pops up as a circle every time I start the game so no triangles that's not the issue. My duma recognizes the server but it wont connect me to peer matches. jaylen76
So you don't see any triangles at all - not even when searching? Sometimes, but it's so rare. Like yesterday when I spent over 8 hours searching a lot, no triangles at all. Today while searching I got a triangle once.

If you expand the GeoFilter to include a triangle does it connect you to the game straight away or do you still get the error?

It sounds like something important is getting blocked because when you disable the GeoFilter you don't have the problem. Can you expand the GeoFilter so it covers the triangle then wait 2 mins and try and get in a game. Does it work? Does the triangle now get accepted in the filter? If it does can you also post here with the ID of that host as it may need whitelisting.

But I put the geofilter range to cover the whole US. When I start the game up and press start it does it's loading and a host pops up in California once it starts loading online things. I've given this host 100 quality and I see it on the deny/allow list at the bottom in the green. This host eventually disappears, doesn't go dormant though, so I'm sure this one is EA Servers. When I start a search for a match many circles pop up, go big then small and some might even go big more than once, but they all eventually go dormant. I just finished a 5 minute search and it ended in 7 dormant hosts. No triangles at all, The entire united states was covered by the geofilter. Sorry if I'm sounding dumb I'm trying to explain what exactly happens from start of game to end of search.

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted June 10, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 10, 2016 I had a look in chat. With the GeoFilter disabled he still couldn't get games. Jaylen said he's try with his ISP router and see if he still had then problem. On a side note, even when the GeoFilter was disabled, hosts were getting blocked (the ones that were getting blocked when it was enabled). Is this anti-cheat? Does anyone else get this problem? fakkel
I had this a few times, but then my friends couldn't connect to me, they would get kicked from the entire game and needed to restart it as a result. This process would repeat itself until I could finally see them on the world map and I could whitelist/Allow them, but that is easy, though because I can call my friends and ask them to keep trying until I would find them on the Geo-Filter map. I will look into it as well and try to come up with a solution!
fakkel
check this out http://downdetector.com/status/eaI am not saying that this is the problem, but a lot of people having issues one way or another.
fakkel
Do you have the same issues as described over here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/INFO-REQUEST-FIFA-16-Cannot-find-online-opponent-Updated/td-p/4824887/page/186 It seems like a common EA Server problem and especially the servers on FIFA 2016 are ...... atm. Do you also have a hard time to find opponents on other games, besides the ones published by EA?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 12, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2016 Seems strange you weren't able to get into a game with the Geo-filter off as it just acts like a normal router then. Does perhaps point to the server issues as posted above but do let us know if you experienced the same on your hub.

Ok sorry for taking so long but today I found my old router and I had problems with it getting connected to xbox live but I left the duma off for hours and left home and when I got back I reconnected it and for now I can find matches again. Don't know what made this happen but I'm happy for it.
