Csakid
I have had problems with my internet speed slowing down for quite some time. I know that it is not due to Time Warner or my modem. I have done several tests while plugged directly into the modem for several days. Time Warner also came out and re-ran the cable from their hub to my outside box and another line directly to the modem. After a day or two my internet speeds (wired and wireless) degrade to unusable speeds. I usually just reboot my Duma and it starts working fine again, for a couple days. I have done several Factory Resets and tried all of the guides to improve the performance. All of them result in my Duma going slow after a couple days. I have followed several posts' suggestions for speed improvement as well. I'm guessing that my unit could be defective in some way. I'm not sure what else could cause the Duma to work perfectly fine for a few hours then degrade to unusable after a few days. Please help.
pantera
I also have Time Warner Cable and I also have the same exact problem with this router if it's connected directly to the modem. For whatever reason I have to setup the netduma like this: Modem -> Airport Extreme -> Netduma, that seems to solve the problem for me anyway. PharmDawgg
What brand/manufacturer modem are using? This happened to me when I was using the Arris/Motorola SB6183 (Cable). My connection would degrade and my ping would spike and the only resolution was to reboot the modem. Duma admins referred to as an EEE bug. Search the forums and you'll see quite a few posts on it. PharmDawgg
I'm not familiar with that particular modem. Maybe someone on the forum who has it will be able to speak on if they have had any issues.
Csakid
I'm sorry for the delay in response. I actually have the Arris SB6183 as well. I am running the following software version, if that helps. Software Version SB6183-9.2.0.0-GA-03-29-NOSH Did you have any direct suggestions for me since you have used this exact modem? Thanks Buck

Thanks Buck The 6183 suffers from the EEE bug, the only real solution is a different modem. A band aid fix is to run a router between the modem and the netduma. I think abc123 actually tried the separating the modem from the R1 by another router but it still occurs. Just not as frequently.
UK_Wildcats_Fans
I am a TWC customer in San Diego. I had the SB6183 and experienced lots of problems with it. I then switched to the Netgear CM600 in January. I typically reboot my modem and R1 at least once every week. I have not experienced any slow down issues with the R1 connected directly to modem. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 11, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 11, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! As said the Arris modem can cause issues. Do you have another you can test the duma with? Also follow this as well: Reactive Algorithm (if above 60mbps, otherwise use preemptive) 100% anti-flood Share excess enabled Reset device prioritisation & apply Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc Disable deep packet in misc Enable turbo mode (if above 120mbps) Enable super turbo mode (if above 300mbps) Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. Do a wired speed test from a PC
