billcline
After we fixed the open nat issue for bo3 on ps4. Now the router interface has slowed to a crawl or not able to interact at all. I have tried other browsers. I was about to reset distribution but no change. Also, Im having trouble joining anyone on my friends list. I can get to my CC, host filtering, or profiles, so I cant even try to set anything.

ColonicBoom
The 'oops... external resources' message usually means that you're not connected to the internet. We can't really trouble shoot that without knowing what your setup and settings are. Try turning everything off and leave it all off for at least 5 mins, then restart everything at 5 minute intervals. Modem, wait 5 mins, Netduma, wait 5 mins, additional router (if applicable), wait 5 mins, etc. Your friends might need adding to your 'whitelist' if your Geofilter is blocking them (disable the Geo fiter, get them in a private game, then give them a high rating). To maximise your throughput (might be a real word), you should do the following: Enter your speed test bandwidth (what you get not what you pay for) Reset device priority (upload + download) Make sure 'shared' is checked (upload + download) Set your Anti-Flood to 100% (upload + download) And select the 'Reactive' algorithm. In miscellaneous settings check 'Turbo' and 'Superturbo'.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 23, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 23, 2016 As well as following the above advice can you change the theme to default if you are using anything else and see if that helps.
billcline
Thanks Fraser I will try that tonight It seems the bo3 update and my ISP messing up the rollout of their bandwidth really did a number on a lot of people.

billcline
Hi Fraser, I have been waiting for my laptop to be repaired for a couple weeks...looks like it is permanently out of commission and it will be a few weeks before I can afford another. I have been experiencing wifi dropping and inconsistent nat types now. The wifi drop outs was not an issue before. I believe I am experiencing a systematic degradation of either software or hardware. Is there anything you can do to help me? Is exchanging the router a possible solution? Thanks for your time! Bill

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 17, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 17, 2016 If we can determine there is an actual fault then yes we can replace however it is much harder to do so without me taking a look. Not sure if I have mentioned it before but for WiFi: Change to PSK2 security mode Use a WiFi analyser to find the least congested channel and change to that WiFi workaround - most require it off however some do require it to be on so experiment with that How do you have it set up for NAT? I've thought of a potential workaround - If the R1 is in the DMZ of your ISP hub or the hub is in modem mode. You could enable remote access in WAN in settings > miscellaneous, apply an interface password and send the IP and login details to me then I can access the router directly without the need for you to go through a PC.
