Ruthless24
In my house hold very little Internet is ever being used through out the day so do I still need to adjust the sliders and prioritize my xbox one device when gaming or can I leave it as is? Any suggestions?
Dillinger
It's always good to preserve a little bit of bandwidth (sliders at like 95% or so) in case you have a connected device that pings a server and begins downloading a 500mb patch behind the scenes. If no one is home, you are generally safe not using much, if any, slider. Having said that, I always give myself a little bit off the top, even when I am the only one at home. Just in case..... Ruthless24
Thanks for the advice! What about device prioritation for upload and download? Any suggestions there?
ColonicBoom
Thanks for the advice! What about device prioritation for upload and download? Any suggestions there? Leave it 'reset' and 'shared' if nobody is around to mess with your connection. If people are around then you just need to make sure you reserve enough bandwidth for yourself to play - without knowing what your bandwidth is then I couldn't say if this will be detrimental to anyone in your house trying to use the connection. Most importantly is probably to set your X1 in the hyperlane to prioritise the packets from/to it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 10, 2016 As above, would definitely keep anti-flood on less that 100, even slightly. Simply web browsing can cause small spikes. As share excess should be enabled all devices can get what they need
