So I played Ghosts tonight

I have to admit that it was a lot of fun. No boost jumping, no wall walking and no crazy movements made for a ton of fun. It's strange to say that it was good old fashioned COD considering that game is only 2 games removed from the current abomination. 

 

Playing it really makes me hope IW goes back to boots on the ground and no more future crap. What I would love is greatest hits title including the best maps IW came out with including their DLC. Either way I'll definitely be playing Ghosts again and would love it if they ported MW2 and MW3 over to X1

Advanced Warfare is actually fun for me in the classic playlist. The hit detection and lag is way better in my opinion too.

 

As for Ghosts, one of my favorite COD's.

Would love to see that too. IW does the best cod's in my opinion.  But a few youtubers are heavily promoting the idea that the next CoD will move alot like Ops3 and will be heavily influenced by space. Ghost got slammed and everyone complained that they wanted something different; so those youtubers could very well be correct.  Would rather see it traditional but will play it and enjoy either way.

ive been playing ghosts and mw3 still on 360. plays great. fun times. great hit detection STILL [sometimes with only 5k online]... those two are still better than anything they have released since.

Believe it or not..... My XB360, the white one, died awhile ago.  RRoD.  I had my wife's previous 360, because she is cool like that, and I have been playing on it, but now it is starting to not read perfectly good discs.  Anyways, got a screaming deal on a bundle and it comes with Ghosts.  I may actually give it another try on the 360, which is where i played it the first time, but now with Duma protection.

 

And yes, I said I would play this stupid iteration with you on the PS4, and I will keep my word.  But if it sucks, I am going to moan about it, and the fact you are hoarding streaks, the whole time....LOL

I am getting Ghosts as part of the bundle.  I already have a Ghosts account that has about 8 or so hours played, so I would just pick up where I left off there instead of starting over fresh.

 

I don't think you should buy an XBox 360 unless you want one before they are no longer available.  A few titles the wife likes are not yet into the Backwards Comp plan, so we want to be covered.

Gotcha,so if I get anything get an XB1.That's just a whole new world to me as I've always been PS,slightly worried about the adjustment.You know I don't need anymore help being bad at the game...

 

But they seem to have some really cool shit coming out for XB1 at the moment and in the future.

Meh, it's a crap shoot.  PS4 has Uncharted, which is a fantastic series.  They also have CoD exclusivity for the next 4 installments after Blops 3, so you have that to consider.

 

Although given the problems you had with the DLC this time around.....LOL

 

If you do change over, get the XB1, or wait for the new XB1.5 which is rumored to be dropping at some point in the new future.  Probably get news at E3 to be honest.

 

Just wait and get healthy big man!  I'll have plenty of catchy pissed off phrases I can share/entertain with you when we play "Infinite Bullshit on JD" together....

I played a bit more this week and I'm liking it. I'm running into some camping, which infuriated me when I played while it was the current game. Overall the gameplay has a lot less camping which means much better games.

 

New map and operators come out soon on R6 so I'll be going back to that for a bit until it gets slow again.

the IEDs are annoying as hell, so are the corner campers... but both can be dealt with, either with sitrep or flakjacket.

 

i still run around with shotguns a lot.

I think I have officially come back to play Ghosts for longer than I have played blops3 at all in the last week alone. 

 

As usual my biggest games are on the biggest maps. Stonehaven is a go to as I've had 50-60 kill games on that map in TDM because with both teams camping it leaves all the kills to a rusher. Funny thing is that the same went for blops2. My biggest kill games were on Carrier because of the same reason.

 

Real COD can't get here soon enough. Don't get me wrong I do love R6:S, but that is a non respawn game. If you die there is no chance of leading a comeback that round. That's one of the fun parts of COD.
