My netduma r1 is making my internet speed worse

I received my netduma a little over a week ago and am having a few problems with it, I expect that these problems are because of my low internet speed and because we own a lower quality modem. Anyway, whenever I set up my default settings that are provided the internet speed nearly halves on all devices. I have tried looking up videos and tried numerous setting layouts that I have seen on forums but nothing seems to change this. Moreover, the internet seems to completely disconnect from my Xbox ever half an hour or so which I then have to go and disconnect and reconnect the router, his has become quite a nuisance. Are there any ideas on how to fix this?

Hey welcome to the forum!

For speeds input them into bandwidth settings & allow it to auto setup for you.

Do these disconnects occur via wifi or ethernet?

I placed there bandwidth speeds whilst seeing up my netduma, and yes they occur while on a wifi connection

If you have a laptop you could go next to the router & connect via ethernet just for a test.

What are your speeds normally?

Make sure you've disabled wifi on your ISP hub. Use a wifi analyser app on your phone to find the best wireless channel & change to that in settings > wifi

The connection continues to be really slow whenever connected with my laptop, our speed roughly ranges from 5-6 mb download and .20 upload. And yes wifi has been disabled

Do the following:

  • Reactive Algorithm
  • 100% anti-flood
  • Share excess enabled
  • Reset device prioritisation & apply
  • Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
  • Disable deep packet in misc
  • Enable turbo mode
  • Enable super turbo mode
  • Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
  • Do a wired speed test from a PC

I'd recommend first trying a speed test in the console browser for a more accurate test. Gaming doesn't require much bandwidth either so you'll have plenty. The speed test connects to a server far away as well as you can tell by the high ping it shows.

I have completed a speed rest while connected to the netduma and I am getting 1mb per second, however while connected to my modem I am ble to get 5mb

If I am unable to get the high speeds over Xbox live with your product, as you have advertised may I please then get a refund.

How are you testing the speed on the Xbox?
