You seem to be picking them off quite easily with that setup. Personally I use high caliber & Long Barrel as my go to class when I'm playing crap.

hm not really. My plan is to get down to this weapon and mater it but it requires me to change from rushing to conservative style.

Cool, yeah i use long barrel, high caliber and the last sight you unlock(floating red dot^^).

Awesome, I am 10th prestige level 22 at the moment, with nuketown 24/7 being on, thats all I played none-stop.

That is insane a but to crazy with this new movement system.

yeah well you can play quite conservative on nuketown^(campy) in one of the houses, I managed to go 60-2 on it yesterday with getting the raps twice and the wraith twice.

Switch out rapid fire for long barrel

I'm 99.99% sure rapid fire isn't as effective on the M8A7 post patch as it used to be. 

 

Long barrel will make it a one shot burst from across the map (will definitely one burst from barn to barn on Fringe). In turn this will almost always make the M8A7 a 4 hit kill

 

Way more effective IMO.

Rapid fire will reduce the full 4 round burst from 240mS to 224mS. The 16mS savings helps to keep all four bullets on target.  Long barrel doubles the range on most ARs.

when I use the M8, I run it with:

Rapid fire + Fast mags + ELO

Scavenger + Dead Silence + Awareness (I know that's evil but I have Astro A40s so I've got to do it)

And a trip mine for upsetting people.

I think you're right about the rapid fire since the patch, I don't seem to be getting as many one-burst-kills on people as I was before (like they have time to get away from one of the four bullets)
