daz
Wondering if there is any benefit to ditching the bt hh5 and just using the Duma as primary instead of secondary?
bagsta69
I do that with BT FTTC, got rid of the HH and just use the R1 connected straight to the open reach box. Not sure if the HH5 is a modem/router combo though.
Net-1
There is no good reason to have any other router before a Netduma.

Net-1
What the Hell???..... HH5 does not have modem mode!!!! That is shite why they do that????............ You need to get rid of that crap ASAP..... A quick internet look you can get an openreach modem or buy another VDSL modems and flash the right firmware. but I m afraid I am on Virgin Cable you will have to find a BT guy with the same issue. TEH BUTCHER
Use R1 as primary so you can take advantage of all features. Unless you need absurd wireless transfer rates or something you'll be golden. I've streamed Netflix wirelessly while playing CoD at the same time with no issues at all. For 99.9% of households R1 primary is good to go. bagsta69
OK, assuming you have broadband I will assume that the hh5 is a modem router so you will have to find out how to put it into modem mode only. I do not have a hh5 so cannot help with that I am sorry. I am sure a quick google will help you find the information you need:) After a quick search it appears you cannot use the hh5 as a modem only mode. Sorry. Ill have a think and try to find a solution if nobody else comes up with anything.

bagsta69
Yes it is but you cannot set it up as a modem only apparently. Which in my opinion is dumb.
