Raz0118
So lately it seems like my Netduma is showing the wrong host and possibly basing the connection off of that. I've noticed that on BO3 it will show that I am connected to a dedicated server, but when I trace the connection it jumps to another player first. I took a screenshot of one such misrepresentation. Anyone notice anything this?
Evangelisuk
Does Bo3 work on a P2P+Dedicated server mashup?
Raz0118
@Evangelisuk I know that it has dedicated servers and that it will use P2P if it cannot connect you to a dedicated server, but as far as a mashup of the two, I am not sure. However, in this case that is not necessarily the problem. As you can see in the picture I uploaded I don't have the usual option to "update" the current server. This is because the Netduma will not allow you this option when on a dedicated server. So it seems to me that the router thinks that I connected to a dedicated server when, in fact, that does not appear to be the case.
Paddee1987
From what I have picked up around these forums is the trace route is very unreliable and should be ignored in that respect.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 1, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2016 I wouldn't pay much attention to the trace, it can be inaccurate. Focus on the ping. It does appear you are connected to a dedicated server as you do not have the "update" button on the host descriptor box
