Netduma Not Responding

Recommended Posts

The other night the Host Congestion tab wouldn't load, so I performed a reboot via the software.  After it rebooted, the router became unresponsive.  I've spent some time troubleshooting today and here is what I've found:

-Performed a hardware reset via the Reset button

-Router reboots, shows link light on port 2, and advertises WiFi SSID

-Computer shows network connection via Ethernet and WiFi, but doesn't get an IP address

-Setting the computer's IP address to 192.168.88.55 and attempting to ping 192.168.88.1 fails

-Setting the computer's IP address to 192.168.1.55 and attempting to ping 192.168.1.1 fails

-Web browsing to http://r1, http://192.168.88.1 fails

Yep, tried that.  It won't load the Netduma configuration web page via any method.

When I connect via Ethernet or WiFi, the Netduma doesn't provide a DHCP address.  I've also tried manually assigning the computer 192.168.88.55 and 192.168.1.55 and tried pinging and browsing to 192.168.88.1 and 192.168.1.1 respectively, with no response.

What firmware were you running before this?

You have followed the unbrick guide to the letter and nothing?

Are you directly connecting to the duma via Ethernet to a device using an automatic IP ?

That's correct. I'm directly connecting to port 2, with automatic IP configured, and I get a private 169.254.168.104 IP address.  I also tried setting the IP statically to 192.168.1.55 and can't get to the Netduma interface either way.

169.254.168.104 is the IP address my computer is getting.  Below is the output of ipconfig when plugged into Ethernet port 2 and connected to the Netduma R1 SSID.

Same result in port 1 and ports 3-5.  I was on the latest firmware 1.03.5  I also swapped out Ethernet cables to confirm it wasn't a bad cable causing issues.
