Jeremy Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I've been experiencing 4-6 drops per evening with my service for the last few weeks. I called my ISP last night while it was down and they said they show a clear signal and were able to transmit data to my modem. They told me my modem has been connected, without interruption for months and that the problem lies within my router. Any ideas on what this could be?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 12, 2016 Administrators Posted January 12, 2016 Is this wireless or wired?
Jeremy Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 It drops on everything. Wired Xbox and WiFi on phones/computers.
Akic Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Are you on the latest firmware? I was getting this up until the last update
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 12, 2016 Administrators Posted January 12, 2016 How long do the drop outs last for? Does it resolve itself automatically? Do you hear a beep indicating the router may be restarting?
Jeremy Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 How long do the drop outs last for? Does it resolve itself automatically? Do you hear a beep indicating the router may be restarting? About 2-3 minutes. It fixes itself. No beeping or sounds. Just drops, then comes back.
Jeremy Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Are you on the latest firmware? I was getting this up until the last update 1.03.5m It says it's the latest.
Jeremy Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Same here, having those issues too. Hate that you have it, but I'm glad it isn't just me at the same time. I was starting to blame my ISP on this.
Israeli Falafel Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 it rams down for about 2mins then goes back up. I have just my PS4 on it
Asentrix Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Have you tried factory resetting your DUMA?Also do you have wifi workaround enabled? (I know you're wired but it could be causing issues)The wifi workaround messed me up last week too, disabling it fixed it for me Also do you have password protection on the 192.168.88.1 enabled?I noticed a while back when I enabled it , for some reason it made a few of my devices disconnect randomly

Not sure on the wifi workaround. What's that exactly?
PharmDawgg Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Usually if someone is having wifi drops they have the wifi workaround selected. And deselecting it helps stops wifi dropouts.

Jeremy Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Update. Just did it again with WiFi workaround disabled.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 14, 2016 Administrators Posted January 14, 2016 When it happens are you able to access the interface? If so check the network monitor, does it show no data at all?
