scalespeeder Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Hi everyone, and a Merry Christmas! I'm Rob from the UK, and I got my Netduma a couple of months ago, and I loved the immediate effect it had on my COD AW gameplay. I'm running my sons old Xbox 360, which he gave to me last Xmas when we got him an Xbox One, which was my first console since the PS2.... Any-ways, we've just got a PS4 too (I know, but I'm making up for lost time), and I'm really looking forward to using the Netduma over the next year. Thanks, Rob. ps The PS4 just appeared as a "nameless device" in the device manager and host filter, which wouldn't be too bad if there wasn't already four other devices that were nameless too. To figure out which one was the PS4, I checked the IP address on the PS4, and that allowed me to identify it with the device manager, but it was still difficult to figure which nameless device was the PS4 in the Host Filter. I solved the problem by deleting all the other nameless devices in the Device Manager, which luckily enough were dormant, and that just left one nameless device in the Host Filter.. Maybe this info will help somebody else too!
Buster Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I had the same issue with my xbox one , so i went into my xbox one settings and renamed the device, not sure if this is possible with ps4 ? Merry Christmas

Administrators Netduma Iain Posted December 25, 2015 Administrators Posted December 25, 2015 Hi Merry Xmas Rob I'll try to make sure the autodetection is improved in the next upgrade. I know new Xbox/PS use different set of MAC addresses so I need to update the database
scalespeeder Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Hi All, I tried renaming the PS4, but that didn't make any difference - but by a method of elimination (deleting the "nameless devices" from the device manager) it worked out fine in the end. As a matter of interest, just turned on Blops 3 (Xbox 360) and it seems to be running great now - I updated to the latest Router firmware yesterday, and I know Activison dropped a last-gen patch recently too, so happy days!
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted December 26, 2015 Administrators Posted December 26, 2015 Awesome stuff Rob!
