Tony got a reaction from Redflame in Went searching #NetDuma for R3 ideas and found this š
Thank you for my english š
Iām good too š
I will try your advice about the steady ping ! My ping is normally 9ms ( the servers of Miami ) . I play on PC .
Youāre right about the lag compensation ! This thing is horrible and the SBMM too . If it was an SBMM about your level it will be ok but this thing doesnāt take ping into account at least not exactly ā¦Ā
Have a great day Redflame šāļø

Tony reacted to CamTastic91 in Setup NetDuma Help
Need Help setup Netduma r3 for any game. I'm having issues with games like BF6 and Call Of Duty registering hit detection and want the truth on what is the recommended settings base on play testing and knowledge of packets and the internet. Also the recommended settings for my computer when it comes to DNS(Should it be default or uses other popular DNS?). I play On PC. See every body else play ok me it seems bullet damage is lower than most people. Watch all kinds of people on youtube play and seem ok or pro at the games and myself is ok but i know something is off in games i play with other people and seeing these problems like punishing the player for being Ok. Im pretty sure its the internet and maybe the router setup wrong. just running out of ideas and understanding because im not sure what to trust or believe.

In my region thereās one physical fibre infrastructure provider - the ISPs use this to provide fibre to the premises to us. Sadly this fibre is asymmetric and uses PPPoE.
Due to my asymmetric connection (900 down & 105 up) I seem more prone to bufferbloat. I can get A+ on waveform bufferbloat test, I still get lag in game. On max ping on download values, thereās a max of 280ms.
So I started using LibreQoS Advanced Test. It feels like itās stricter than waveform. It grades download, upload and bidirectional (when both are maxed out) it reported I had A+ on download and upload, but B grade on bidirectional (33-50ms added). When I got all down to A+ grade and 0ms added latency my connection was much better.

I'm good thanks, how are you? Well it does add ping so if your ping is already very stable then you would be adding ping unnecessarily potentially making your connection worse but try with/without and see what works best for you

Tony reacted to Netduma Alex in NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.1510
Hi everyone,
We are excited to roll out a major new firmware update for the Netduma R3, packed with significant improvements and optimisations weāve been developing over the last year.
This is a comprehensive release. You will experience a noticeably faster user interface, improved Wi-Fi auto-channel selection, new dedicated front panel LED controls, and key memory and security patches designed for long-term stability.
Alongside these broader enhancements, we have completely overhauled two core systems:
Device Manager & Classification Engine
We have implemented a completely new Device Classification backend that allows classification and categorisation rules to be updated dynamically over the cloud. Just as our DPI system automatically updates to support new games, DumaOS can now recognize and categorize newly released smart devices as soon as they hit the market.
To help make Device Manager as accurate as possible, users can now optionally report incorrect classifications directly to us. This reporting is purely opt-in, fully anonymised, and directly helps improve detection accuracy for all users. You will be asked if you want to participate the first time you make changes in Device Manager, and you can easily change your preference at any time from the Settings menu.
Ā
Geo-Latency
We have fine-tuned Geo-Latency to work more reliably with our currently supported titles, while expanding support to include more games, such as Battlefield 6. We have also reduced its footprint under the hood to improve overall system performance.
Behind the scenes, we have been working hard on several exciting new DumaOS features that we are almost ready to share. Expect to hear more about those very soon.
Thank you for your patience in waiting for this new firmware, and thank you for being a Netduma customer.

Thank you again š

I'm good thanks, hope you are too. You should disable it on the ISP router (ALL devices should be connected to the R3 anyway ideally) and I would suggest you use QoS on the R3 for the best experience possible.

Tony reacted to Netduma Fraser in Question Ć propos du Smartboost
If you start from port 1 you will prioritize the entire device, this would include normal web browsing, downloads, streaming etc which would then lead to a negative gameplay experience.Ā

It'll just be something we need to update, prioritize the device for now which will also prioritize the game and we'll rectify it

It's not an issue specific to one internet provider, it could happen wherever you are if there are enough people in your area. It could also be that routing is redirected through a slower path at peak times but either way I don't think there is anything you can do on your side.

Tony reacted to JesusISmyKiNG84 in THE BEST SETTINGS WITH v4.0.540 FOR CALL OF DUTY/ BATTLEFIELD 6
THIS ARE JUST SETTINGS OUTSIDE OF THEIR GAME CONFIGS. THIS IS MORE TOWARDS THE R3 AND YOUR PC BACKGROUND PROCESES! you will still need to adjust your ingame settings according to your own specs. ect ect ect. this are the ADSOLUTE BEST settings for your bullets to kill as FAST as possible!Ā Ā
1. heres a pic of my fiber without the R3Ā
2. Heres a pic of my speed with the R3 and all the settings i dissable inside the R3 to eliminte latency inside my router. turn these settings off at your own risk. i did and havent usse it in a month w out any issues.
3. run some bufferbloat test until you find your sweat spotĀ
4.Ā nornal speed test web is down for me idk y, but you need to lower your jitter as much as you can even when you do a simple speed test.Ā
5. look at your task manager and if you have more proceses than what I have, It might be the reason why your jitter is always HIGH! or your game feels laggy and dogpoopy.Ā
6. if you need help lowering your proceses without damaging your pc. check this link. it will take you to this guy who is a profesional. he worked with people like clix, bugha, and more pros. watch the video and follow the instructions. MAKE SURE you create a restore point right before your start or do anything. the only thing im experiencing is once i did mine. i cant no longer play music audio without having to RE-install my media player again. i dont mind that. so i dont care. i use my other pc for that. i can still do everything tho, everything works normal.Ā
Ā this is the channel.Ā
7. this is my congestion control settingsĀ
8. my games feels amazing no more shoot first and die first. anything outside of my control like servers lag lol well yall know how that goes.Ā

Ok ! š Je vais essayer ce soir de changer le serveur si il change vers Miami et voir si le ping est toujours bon .
Je te tiendrai au courant demain , merci pour ton aide Fraser š

Correct, you wouldn't be able to solve that. Generally in the case of ISP congestion there isn't much you can do except perhaps switch to a provider that isn't as subscribed to in your area.
