NAT Type 2 is open, it just means you're behind the router, it's exactly the same as Type 1 otherwise. It will only show Type 1 when you're directly connected to your modem with the console.

thisisreallife got a reaction from Terpinator710 in Waveform Test giving False Results! *Fix*
Why on earth would having the Netduma page open cause issues? Is there any logical reason why this is happening?

thisisreallife reacted to iOrcus in BRING BACK SHARING BANDWIDTH TURN OFF OPTION PLEASE!
I BEEN having this ISSUES . I dont know WHY You guys removed the old featured LIKE the R1 had. where i was able to give EACH device in my house the amount of bandwidth i wanted them to have, which it was PERFECT for my household, since theres so many equitments at my house. A short example R1: I have a dual pc setup i use to give my gaming PC =5Mbps & Streaming PC = 40Mbps . My girl PC= 300Mbps . PS4/PS5 = 100Mbps each . Others PC's range from = 100Mbps - 150Mbps with the SHARING BANDWIDTH OPTION TURN OFF. I left other devices out the list since theres so many to type like cellphones tables, ipods, nintendo switch, laptops ect ect. My POINT is that this was PERFECT because when i gave my gaming pc only 5Mbps it DIDNT affected other people downloads or uploads at my house because i gave them their own bandwidth. I DONT know why theres NOT an option similar to this featured on the R3. smartboost doesnt help with this in anyway! theres no way to assign banwidth to seperate devices! congestion control DOESNT HELP with this issue! With the R3 if i change my fiber speed the entire network changes at my house. its frustrating. might go back to the R1 but they dont even support it anymore with new updates. i believe the last update was like 3 years ago! SHAME for the day one people who cant afford a NEW router!

thisisreallife reacted to Netduma Fraser in Reserve I.P doesn't work with phones?
They'll have the private/random MAC addresses option enabled - check on the actual WiFi details for the R3 on your phone when connected to it and you may see it there, otherwise it'll be in the settings on your phone. Disable the options, re-set your reserved IPs and they should stay.

thisisreallife reacted to Netduma Fraser in Am I blind. Where is Congestion Control?
With Congestion Control that can be found in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.

Yeah beta version is better currently since it prioritizes traffic more efficiently do to the DPI though I'd go with version 3.3.502 since it more stable though if your able to run the v3.3.615 then stick with it though it known for taking long to access interference initially

thisisreallife reacted to Netduma Fraser in How can I reduce my PS5 internet speed but keep the rest of my devices fast?
It has been requested so it may come in future, I don't think it's being worked on currently from what I can see

thisisreallife reacted to Netduma Fraser in I have a Virgin Media Hub 4. Would the R2 work with my complex system. I don't want to purchase something only needing to send it back straight away.
Yes you would need to do that as a switch can't take traffic from a modem only, so back into router mode and then it will work

Hi all,
So I want to purchase a R2.
I currently have a Superhub 4. And I want to put that router into Modem/Bridge mode and then connect the Netduma R2 to it instead. BUT. My house got renovated a few months ago and in that process we ended up getting these installed on 3 levels of my house: They're called Ubiquiti access points. Now I don't know much about these but here is a link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ubiquiti-UniFi-Lite-Access-Point/dp/B08T6CKG5B. I'm not sure if it's exactly this model but it looks like that.
Now, what I do know is that my wiring is like this currently:
Superhub 4 > TP Link 5 Port Gigabit Desktop Switch (model TL-SG1005p) > D-Link Ethernet Port Hub (model DGS-108) > Lots of Devices
The D-Link Ethernet Port Hub basically will have a LOT of Ethernet wires connected to it. I have the PS5, the Laptop, Smart TVs, 3 Ubiquiti Access Points, Chromecast, 2 Sky TVs and other stuff. Literally the only WIFI we have is 2 mobile phones.
So now I want a Netduma, and I have a few questions:
Firstly I want to know if the Netduma works well with Virgin/Superhub 4? Did it make your experience better or worse or the same? Honest answers please!
Secondly, I literally want the Netduma just for the OS. I'll obviously slot the Netduma in between the Superhub 4 and the TP Link 5. And then to be safe, I'll plug PS5 via ethernet straight into the Netduma. Everything else will be laid out the same. So if I buy a Netduma R2 and set it up, is everything else still going to work fine? I'll want everything that's wired connected to the Netduma R2, and the two mobile phones connected via WiFi to the Ubiquity Access Points. Is that ok?
I want the Access Points working the same as intended. I'll hate it if I buy the Netduma and now the 'wifi has gone off around the house' I'll get a yelling at from every family member.
Thank you!

thisisreallife reacted to Netduma Fraser in Ping Test (Under Load) - Always getting C rating
Ping Under Load is what your ping would be should your connection be saturated so you can use Congestion Control to try different percentages and then see what brings down the test results as much as possible.
