  1. These guys will still be making excuses in a year and my guess is that little will have changed...
  2. well, I tried exactly as you said and it still doesn't work. This is so frustrating to buy something and have it not do what it was advertised that it would do.
  3. C'mon! if the ping graph never works how could I be seeing ping in the geo-filter? obviously its in the game Yes, I am on PC, but if I am on PC and adding it as a Playstation worked, why not just fix the UI? You have been suggesting add a PC as a Playstation for years. What is up with this?
  4. its the ping graph that doesn't come up ever, it attempts and then just says "couldn't ping server". Another thing that is really frustrating is that the server in Seattle says that it should have ping of 35-40 in the ping heat map. Most every time I play on that server it is in the 90-110 ping. That is the closest server to me. What is going on here?!
  5. the ping graph. It attempts to load and always says "couldn't ping server" this was one of the main things that was advertised about this router and it doesn't work for Call of Duty, the game that needs this more than any other. It works in fortnite.
  6. I still never get a ping assist graph when playing MW3 or warzone.....
  7. Mamba, maybe try doing what Fraser said, then additionally delete your device (console/PC) from the geofilter. Then resync the cloud from the three dot menu inside of geofilter tab. Then restart that device completely. Then re-add and just try putting an additional pollygon around the UK and let me know if it allows you to find Call of Duyt matches.
  8. I am by no means an expert here, but I have an Idea that may help you. Simply add another pollygon around the UK. The short story is that I believe there to be an authentication server in Ireland that is checking to see if you are trying to geofilter.) That is the short answer. If you care to know why I think this read on, but I value your time and don't want to waste it if your in a hurry. I have been using net duma for quite a few years trying to crack the code to play call of duty without having an inconsistent experience. There is I believe an authentication server in Ireland for call of duty. I believe it is a Deamonware server used in the match making algorithm. With my old xr1000 it would be shown pinging it on the map whilst playing Call of Duty every so often. It was some kind of "authoritative" server because I tried everything back then to see if I could deny it and couldn't. Recently when trying to use the R3 to play on the NA servers that I want to play on, I just added a polygon around the UK (Brittan and Ireland and a little bit of the sea between Brittan and France because there seems to be a server there on one of those old WWII forts). This seemed to satisfy the call of duty authentication algorithm and since I am in the US, I never get put in those servers in the UK. It has seemed to me for a long time now trying to geofilter Call of Duty that the developers at Call of Duty are actively trying to prohibit players from in anyway messing with the SBMM algorithm. Has any one noticed the pattern? You play a game and your ping is what it is. If you go even or positive, your next game will be with an additional 30-40 or even 60 ping and if you still go even or positive it will add more up to the third game having potentially 120 ping. I did a bunch of testing in MW2 and this same pattern was in custom matches against bots........ No other actual players, just bots. This broken netcode is pervasive throughout the whole "multiplayer" experience. I was never a zombies player, but I tried it because multiplayer is so manipulated now that it's really not any fun and was super surprised at how good the internet connection could be to the servers that were close to me. Why do I say all this? Because I think that as good as the R3 is, and I think its a really good router, if you are using it to try to have a consistent multiplayer experience playing Call of Duty (as I am guessing a lot of people here are) GOOD LUCK!!! Yes, the R3 has some bugs, but go play a game like fortnite (if you play call of duty exclusively, like a lot of call of duty players) and you will see that the things that don't work for call of duty work for other games. for many "bugs" in the software, I think it is that netduma is advertising that they can manage your ping in call of duty and they can't. I think if they advertised that they had this great router (which it is!!!!) and it did all of the things they have advertised that it does, EXCEPT THAT IT WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR CALL OF DUTY NET CODE PROBLEMS!!!!!! then this forum would be completely quiet. Fraser would have a much easier life.
  9. Also, I did play quite a few Fortnite matches and for all of them the Steady Ping feature worked. So my problems have been with Call of Duty games.
  10. I looked at my modem. It is an EU2251 from Spectrum, It is just a modem, it has no wireless capabilities. I am gaming on a PC, is there a possible issue if the same PC that is gaming is running the DumaOS software on a chrome browser on the second monitor?
  11. I will now test some fortnite games and see if the steady ping visualization works there or not...... I'll be back after some testing
  12. I have had both of those disabled for a week now. Continuing with my testing to see if the warzone servers are working as far as the software pinging the server that I am playing on, after two games of solo warzone, neither of them could ping the server and give me a graph..... this is disappointing. The first game was played on the Los Angeles host and I had a 60 ping and still a moderate nat sure enough the second game is going to be a higher ping as far as the net code for call of duty matchmaking goes because I had around 5 eliminations in the game. if you don't get absolutely destroyed, you will get a higher ping the next game, or at least that seems to be a rule after a lot of observation The second game I played on a Georgia server and the ping was 94 also with a moderate NAT I try not to be a completely negative person when having to bring bad news (things are still not working ) so I will admit that both of those games the hit registration felt good and these games didn't feel like I was playing in some kind of time warp buffer where every player was at server state and in was in my time warp buffer easily getting powned because they could always see me first and so I lost the gunfight because the TTK is so fast. So in recap: Neither the UPnP not the Steady Ping visualization seem to be working In spite of the steady ping visualization no working, the ping seems to be steady so the question remains, Did I buy the router to steady my ping, or did I buy it to steady my ping AND show me a graph of it steadying my ping?
  13. I was so hopeful that this would work! and now I am back to feeling stupid for buying three routers and none of them have done what was advertised. and I am again feeling sarcastic, maybe I need a tee-shirt that says NetDuma DumaOS on the front and on the back it says "the joke is on me" Please help me solve this.
  14. ok, I was able to do the factory reset after updating the firmware to v4.0.23 I have played two games MW3 multiplayer 1st game it said "couldn't ping server" this was the Oklahoma server and I had 72 ping 2nd game it again said "couldn't ping server" this was the Georgia server at 108 ping (An observation: the call of duty algorithm is working, if you play a game and you don't get completely destroyed the next game will have a higher ping and this proved true.) Last thing to report is is that UPnP still hasn't gotten me an open NAT. So in recap, I did the firmware update and the factory reset and then the neseccary modem power-cycle reboot followed by the power-cycle reboot of the R3 to get wifi to work again. Unless I'm missing something, I am back where I started and I have spend half a day......
  15. I am still figuring out how to respond to something someone said, but here goes.... titofuenla said something about an ISP router..... I have the modem from my ISP and then my router. thats it! the router controls all the wifi and the hard wired (cat6) computers in the house
  16. in response, to Fraser: I am always at a moderate NAT since I got this router. I am by no means an expert, so I could be misunderstanding. But it seems to me that UPnP is supposed to open the right ports so that games just have an open NAT thanks to it "plug and play" nature. Am I understanding that correctly? and by the way, thanks for the work that you do. It doesn't escape me how difficult your job is to deal with people who have something that they want fixed and you seem to take the brunt of peoples irritation. Keep up the good work!!!!
  17. I sure hope so!!! I am a sarcastic person, I know, but I am really optimistic third time is the charm here. I have to wait till the end of the day to do all this thought because I have someone using the network to work from home today. I'll post again after the firmware update and factory reset. I'm assuming it resets with a button underneath like the xr500 and xr1000? Please, could someone drop the step by step for me in a response?
  18. And by the way, though I have to see the humor in this because getting mad doesn't accomplish anything, I honestly hope that it will work, because the features are so promising and when I saw them work somewhat as advertised in fortnite (a game that already works well and doesn't necessarily need these features) they seemed super cool. SO, maybe just advertise that this router works well with any game except Call of Duty?
  19. This is beautiful!!!!!!! I just got done responding to another person in this forum about how humorous this is to have a brand new router that is advertised as having all these features and then when they don't work the forums say something to the effect of "don't worry about it, there is a way to disable it". So I have an advanced gaming router that does basically what all other routers do now that all the features are disabled. BUT WAIT.... it does have some pretty LED lights on top!!!! And that isn't the best part! I have had the xr500 and then the xr1000 before this because they promised to lower my ping in Call of Duty. I actually named my xr1000 "factory reset" because those forums keep advising doing a bit of this and a bit of that and then MAKE SURE TO FACTORY RESET THE ROUTER. So I gave it one last go and bout a net duma router hoping that it would run dumaos better than the netgear routers did. And now it has all come full circle!!! And my new R3 router, my Christmas gift to myself is also going to be lovingly named FACTORY RESET 3. I used to try to play Call of Duty, now I just factory reset my router over and over and do the subsequent network setup that is necessary afterwards. well happy new year to me!!!
  20. This is true for me as well. So like alot of the other features on this router the experts on this forum say if its not working "just turn it off", so I have turned it off as well after a few weeks of it not working. I'm super glad that I haven't lost my sense of humor over all this because that would be a shame. Truth is this has been super humorous to me. All these features I bought the router for and I've disabled most of them because they don't work for the one game I bought the router for (Call of Duty). So basically I have a nice router that does basically all that other routers do, but this one does have really pretty lights on top of it!!!!!
  21. I have had my R3 for a couple weeks and when I play MW3 or warzone 3 it rarely is able to ping the game server and show that graph of the ping and how its being optimized. I'm really happy with all that does work on this router..... but this feature was one of the big selling points for me and it sadly rarely works. It works almost all of the time with fortnite servers. Is this something that I can expect to see work or should I keep my expectations low for this product to deliver on its advertised features?
