Does this router even work with the game?? 90% of time connected to server outwith the Geofilter, mainly the London server, which for me is just abysmal ( keep blocking it too......to no avail) Brussels is brilliant for me but lucky if I see that 2-3 times in a night

Hi, ater plugging in the R3 after soo many probs (disconnects/wifi/etc) and coming on here I would like to be added to this firmware update to see if its worth keeping the router on or go back to my stock ISP router.

It is a surprise having no back up option, it would be very handy especially with all the factory resets that they recommend after each update, never mind to fix any gremlins outwith of updates

Cheers for that, I will give it a go now. Myths have a grain of truth so will also shut it down to see how it goes.

Is there a way to back up my settings of the router @Netduma Fraser? Only ask because of my Geofilter issue and I think the only way to confirm if its a router issue is to factory reset, but tht means I will lose all my settings and allowed/denied servers and will have to go through that all again!!! And I'd rather avoid that time and time again, as it seems that the factory reset is becoming the norm fix

Bufferbloat is A+ Everytime I go on to game I always do a bufferbloat test on waveform and adjust accordingly. Its annoying that its just not showing anything on the geofilter less the demonware connection, which as you know is the poopy system that finds servers for you so you can have the sweatiest of games

This is all i get, happens after about 3 games, then every game is this.....and the hit detection in game is horrendous, fyi ethernet connection, 1gig up and down, but qos to 77.5% down and 70% up

Nothing is showing up on the geofilter!! The device will show connecting, but will never show anything at all, zero stabilisation, no connection details, but goes through the connecting to server loading, which never happens. Restarted device 3 times, inc completely unplugging device for a couple of mins. Guidance appreciatted

Brilliant from the guys at Netduma, showing full speeds and very little adjustment to get my A+ on waveform, gaming now seems more crisper with hit detection on both PC and PS5, pass the thanks to the team @Netduma Fraser

Hi Guys, Would it be possible to have multiple custom profiles in the custom geo filter section. That way we could set up what works for COD, then separately have The Finals, Destiny, fortnite, Apex etc. say maybe you can save like 3 or 4 custom Geofilter profiles?

I'll be honest mate by time I went to take the pic it had moved onto the red console icon. I've added it to the deny list so if it comes up again it will be interesting to see if i get put back on it, or do you want me to remove it from the allow/deny list and try capture it if I get it again?

Hey @Netduma Fraser, there is no allowed servers in my allow/deny list, list has 1 deny server in it and thats it.

Firstly Happy New Year @Netduma Fraser and the full team, hope you all aint feeling to rough today and heres to a great 2024 to you all. Just thought I would update this thread; So I factory reset the router, and strangely i decided to power down the PC and even disconect the power from it (highly unlikely disconnecting power had any effect on below lol) and then went through the set up again. Put all the previous recomendations back in place and left for 10 mins Opened up steam and launched The Finals Searched for a game and started finding games only within the Geofilter....and have to say the hit reg and smoothness was A+ Then out of the blue it wouldnt find me a game within the Geofilter, would go to join a server outwith and then kick me (which is correct) so was delighted with that, but after searching for a good while for a game it suddenly connected me to the Netherlands again, gameplay didnt feel as crisp as the games within the Geofilter! I decided to add that to the deny list and then wait 15mins and look again, but straight back to the same server (know that a server could have many connections) but what got me was I pulled out of game, left it running at game menu, to get ready for New Year and when I came back it had all the servers showing, but the Netherlands one had a tick on it (see pic) Does that mean no matter what if it cant find me a game within Geo then it will put me to that server?? So @Netduma Fraser I upgraded the firmware as per your guidance. Redone the settings as mentioned previuosly by Darkness ; and still getting games outwith the geofence, I enlarged it, as shown in image to catch more servers but it still went to the one in Netherlands, started off as you can see with a tick then the controller icon. Hey @Netduma Fraser so did as was mentioned by @DARKNESS and couldn't get a game at all, so thought maybe the grey circles I was on top of in geofence were listen servers so closed game down completely, and put my location over north Italy ensuring I was covering a spot which had previously shown a server location. I then deleted all my blocked and allowed servers from my allow/deny list, just incase. Was away to take dog out so rebooted computer and router before the walk. So after an hour walk with dog, came to give it a try and now its finding me a game, but again outwith the geofence!! So just to re-iterate for this I done the following before starting game ; Geo Latency - off Ping Assist - 0,0 Strict Mode - on Fast Search - off Geofence moved to North Italy as shown Steam Client opened, then game launched You can see from the images that the grey circle, which was prviously a yellow triangle before it was included in the geofence, and all the yellow triangles. As the game found a match it then came up with a white circle with a tick (in Netherlands), it then dissapeared to be replaced with the white circle and controller icon as the game started and the ping stabilisation done its work, which is all good but I should not have been in that lobby with it connecting me outwith of the geofence. Hi So decided to play around with geofilter home location whilst playing The Finals, just to see if any discernable difference.....but all I got was the attached images on every game I tried. Any ideas why? the servers outwith the geofilter went yellow triangles as normal, then when the game found me a match it switched to a yellow PS icon, and then when in game fully it went back to the triangle ( brighter than the rest) and wouldnt use ping stabiliser. Hey Guys, Possibly a stupid question coming in..... I have a PC, PS4 and Xbox connected to geofilter, the question is, If they are all on at the same time does the R3 geofilter for every device and optimize ping for each device and whatever game is being played on the device?? Cheers
