It's a staggered update so everyone will get it eventually - we do that to prevent the whole customer base having a major issue if something was wrong with the firmware.

Nine reacted to Netduma Alex in NEW R3 FIRMWARE - 4.0.219
    Hi everyone,
The wait is over, we're happy to deliver the latest R3 firmware. It contains months of work from our development team, with a big focus on improving the stability and reliability of our features.
    Main Changes:
Hybrid VPN is here: this is long standing Netduma feature which allows you to run your VPN through your router and then choose which devices or applications the VPN should be applied to. This means you can run your VPN on things that usually hard run a VPN on, such as Smart TVs and consoles. Hybrid VPN is compatible with OpenVPN and WireGuard, so make sure your VPN provider supports one of these protocols. Added UPnP Relay. Previously, if your R3 was connected underneath an ISP router, you'd likely see a Double NAT reported on your games console unless you did some manual port forwarding. UPnP Relay pushes port opening requests from your devices up the chain to your ISP router, meaning you should get an open NAT with no additional configuration needed Some users reported issues with Chromecast or Airplay, or transferring files locally. These are fully fixed now. Many quality of life / annoying bugs fixed, including improved IPv6 and PPPoE support, increasing the reliability of the Geo-Filter ping graph and increasing the reliability of the Ping Optimiser test (with further improvements to come) A longer changelog is below.
We want the Netduma R3 to be the best router in the world, and we're taking another step towards that goal with this firmware. We'll continue working on and releasing updates, so please give us any feedback you have.

Interesting, shouldn't be any difference as the test is done at the router level so would be unaffected by how you're connected to the router. Happy New Year!

I found out that the reason why the ping optimizer fails sometimes is also possibly because there is a device on your network that is causing it to fail, like how I found out that my Wi-Fi extender wasn't functioning properly, once I removed it, it started working normally. But once I put my Wi-Fi extender back on the network it stops again. Merry Christmas Everyone 🙂

I ran a check for most common and troublesome internet ports just to check to see if the router would pass.
    Solicited TCP Packets: Passed
    Unsolicited Packets: Passed
Ping Reply: Fail: Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.
Does this router have a stealth mode like the previous iterations.  Just curious.  Thanks.

So SmartBOOST disabled fully without you disabling it? So when you go on the page it just says about enabling it and clicking that does nothing? What web browser/device are you using to access the interface?
Do the Ping Optimizer tests complete successfully? If so I'll pass on the test history now appearing. If SmartBOOST is completely disabled you won't be able to adjust SmartBOOST profiles.

No problem that is what this forum is here for. These routers are what I refer to as bleeding-edge tech and with it comes issues.  But as a community (Netduma and the Duma Army) we will help each other work through them. One of the Netduma mates will respond to you as soon as they can.

So I finally got everything I needed, setup everything and comparing to the XR1000, the R3 is definitely good, I was getting Syntax errors out the buns with the XR1000 on the QoS(sometimes) and pingheat map(Consistent). But with the R3 everything is working. Excellent work NetDuma Team.

We did have trouble with some people not getting the confirmation emails so likely the same issue here. As long as you have the DHL email to track you're all good. Alternatively if you want to make sure you can email us and we can check the tracking matches the one you received.
That's annoying but it's likely just clearing customs and shouldn't take too long
