euphidra reacted to Netduma Fraser in NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
There are no specific percentages for a connection method and what is best will differ for each person. Glad to hear you found the cause though, as above yes you can.

It's likely that due to the change in the connection method that the Congestion Control settings you have set work well with PPPoE but will need to be fine tuned/changed for DHCP, do that and see if you notice an improvement

It doesn't make any sense as they're just methods by which the router connect to the internet/your modem so it shouldn't affect WiFi at all. What do you mean by loses quality?

Make sure you're using 80Mhz width for 5GHz not the higher value and see if it improves then

There isn't a new firmware currently, the firmware pinned to the top of the Early Access sub forum is the latest

Sorry Fraser I posted under that user's suggestion. Then I read that you had replied to the post.

You asked this earlier in another topic and I mentioned at the time that I passed it on when you originally asked on Monday and that you don't need to ask multiple times. You liked the post so you did see that response. Requesting it 3 times in one week doesn't make it happen any faster, especially asking twice in one day, it also doesn't guarantee it will be added. I understand you want to see it and I have passed it on.

euphidra got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Hybrid VPN - Improvements
@Netduma Fraser
For me it should indicate the ping on the geofilter from the VPN access point instead the ping is always the same as being without the VPN. I'm talking about eFootball. The servers are missing to update on the ping heatmap. The ping on the ping heatmap is not true looking at the ping without active steady ping. The ping on the server, playing is lower.

No need to repeat yourself and tell us to fix it, the team are always working to fix reported issues.

@Netduma Fraser @Netduma Alex
FTTC in PPPOE from low speeds while FTTH in VLAN works. I reconfigure with DHCP but I deactivate steady ping and I don't care about the graphics because it doesn't work as it should. Fix Hybrid VPN.

Did you factory reset after the update to this version as it should have improved overall
I think it probably is as we do know there are improvements to be made with HVPN working better with other features but that's good to know!

euphidra reacted to Netduma Fraser in Adblocker R3 does not block YouTube advertising on smart TVs.
YouTube ads are tricky because they're served on the same URL as the video itself so it makes it hard to block from the network side. It's something we're hoping to be able to work around in the future.

We can't get a firmware out before it is ready, likely it will come as Early Access, we're working on it.

There are a few things that are not working as we'd like when HVPN is enabled and we're looking into that currently, it will get resolved!

In any scenario where the in game ping is higher than the Geo-Filter that will be the game processing delay, it's not something we have any control over but it can be used as a measurement to see how overloaded a server is. As long as it's not 30ms higher than the Geo you're good.
Do you have Ping Assist enabled? Are you changing Geo settings between matches?
Just to clarify, the lower upload speed you only see on the console but other devices you see the normal speed? 20 is absolutely plenty for gaming so that wouldn't be the cause of your in game experience. It would be worth doing a factory reset as it's a big update and may run smoother after that.
No specific reason, it won't always be a bigger file.
It is yes but it doesn't have remote logging enabled so if that's something you'd rather not have then would recommend using this one.
You'd need to contact them for the config file but looks like they don't provide it unfortunately from the above comment.
Clear your browser cache/cookies and you should be able to load the devices and select them.
May be best to factory reset as it's a big jump in firmware and should then run smoother.
Thanks, I will pass that onto the team to take a look at.
If you click on the device there, does it show filtering is enabled?
Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN and it should work then.
Clear your browser cache/cookies and you should be able to see it then.
