https://support.activision.com/articles/call-of-duty-security-and-enforcement-policy What about this part: "Spoofing: Any attempt to hide, disguise, or obfuscate your identity or the identity of your hardware devices may result in a permanent suspension." Like I said, I'm not trying to get around the SBMM. The hit detection (/lag) seems better when I route my traffic through my neighboring country.
-
Anyone? 😅 @Netduma Fraser Do you or the team have any knowledge on this? Alternatively is there a way to route my connection through a specific authentication server and have also the geofilter on for a selected game server? Would like to test if this improves the connection at all without a VPN.

Please help and enlighten me. What is the current situation with VPNs in Warzone. Is it possible to get banned just by using one of them? Could the VPN server’s IP be “tainted” if someone else e.g. cheated while using the same server? I don’t really care about the sbmm aspect of it. I mainly got it to reroute my connections through my neighboring countries. After a few games I can say it feels smoother and the hit detection feels better. Will have to test a bit more. How many of you are using a VPN with Warzone? What’s the experience been for you?

So before you say anything, yes, I know there is another topic about the best settings for MW3, but since that was purely for multiplayer, I’m curious to hear what settings people are using for Warzone. For a while, I’ve been going back and forth with different settings to find the sweet spot. Sometimes I use Smart Boost; sometimes I feel I get better hit detection and an overall better experience without it. The same goes for Geofilter and Steady Ping. When my connection is on point, it feels like I’m half a second “in front of every other player.” You can guess that in those games I usually either win the whole thing or at least have a high kill game. I also know that SBMM is most definitely a thing, there are quite a few cheaters, and the COD servers are currently chalked. Not a great combination. I just want you guys to humor me with the settings you use so I can test if they could work for me as well. Do you use: - Smart Boost - Geofilter (geo latency on/off), do you use Ping Assist? - Steady Ping, do you feel any difference? - Etc. other settings? For reference, I play in the EU, and the closest server to me is in the Netherlands (30ms). I’m using a cable internet connection and play on PC with a wired connection. Feel free to share your settings.

I feel like I have my hit detection on point by just having my bufferbloat at 0 while still having for example multiple devices connected to my WiFi. What I really want is to have a bit more chill wz lobbies so I can play with my “lower skilled” friends and drink some brewskies while at it. 😭 If you have any tips on how to achieve that with just the geo filter hit me a DM. @TODDzillaInLA

@Netduma Fraser Can you give a detailed explanation on what the 'Geo-Latency' feature actually does? This is not quite clear to me. Cheers!

The lag comp in Cod is super frustrating. Try searching for a server where your ping is around 60-70ms. Sounds weird but when I play with 60+ ms ping I actually have a chance to win a gunfight in WZ. MW3 was also quite enjoyable with that ping during the free week they had but those playlists probably had toned down sbmm. 😂

I would like to give it a go also with the beta fw. ☺️
