I believe Jack will be making a topic in Early Access regarding disconnects shortly - presumably to get any more relevant information so keep an eye out for that.

They were in my router on the fourth and got some info. I believe they were in again this morning looking for more info and possibly to see if they observe it crashing.
Given my current patterns I expect a crash around 3PM Eastern tomorrow lol.

Well after a month or so of no issues...I had a disconnect.
Guess Xbox wasn't the total issue after all.
Are we any closer to finding a fix for this? 😕
Edit: Make that two disconnects. And usage isn't any different.
Edit 2: Might be ISP actually, symptoms seem different. Monitoring it.

Still seeing it so it's probably cached, PM me your public IPv4 address and I'll pass it on.

I did not see this till just now and was just about to post some settings. This is exactly the settings I just changed and will be keeping an eye on the network to see if this one pops up at s for verifying those settings @Achilles

Could you let me know what other settings there are? I think I have mine set up accordingly as it never pops on to the network. This way I know both Xboxes are set and we can start after I reboot this time.

@Netduma TomNo problem, happy to help. Hope you got more of what you needed.

Also, a big thanks to @Netduma Jack Bfor jumping on that call for so long. I know it’s late over there.

    Rebooting now

@Netduma Jack BAlso, just a couple things I noticed. I never fixed my router log settings from the update and reset. They’re still the default time zone which I believe is yours.

We also found a screen a little bit ago on the Xbox that shows data usage. It shows activity until 5am my time and then completely drops off until it was booted at 10am, shortly before I posted. When I get a chance I’ll try and grab a picture.

@SlamchezFeel free to reboot over the weekend if you get the same issue, as we wont be in the office.

Disregard previous posts, at least for Windows. Found the issue: bad cable. Was not providing gigabit to the switch.

Hi ! If you have not restarted the device in the meantime, it is normal that the same DHCP IP is kept. 😉

Was unaware there was one. Will update as soon as I’m able.

Just to give an update - since moving both Series X's to the full shutdown mode (including the additional wake settings) I have not had a single disconnect.
Even tonight I was using desktops over the two switches and didn't encounter any issues.
This makes it 4 days or so without issue, prior it was practically daily.

The upside is that so far, unless I missed something, Achilles hasn't had a drop yet. Out of all of us he's the only one that's put the Xbox in full shut down mode.

@Slamchezjust to answer your question, yes they are both dumb switches.

Yeah definitely. I'm very glad that we seem to be forming some sort of pattern with this.
Quick question for @Proud R3 Owner: Do you have any devices on the network that do the sleep/wake thing? Are they wired?

    Hi everyone,
I've been using my R3 for the past couple of weeks with little to no issue. Everything is generally moved over aside from two smart plugs that are still attached to my XR1000 in AP mode. Unfortunately a couple of days ago I started waking up to no internet access on only some devices. For example, my brother's xbox does not connect and my mother's streaming device no longer connects. However, my phone still works as well as the living room streaming device and I can connect to the router through the iOS app.
I have so much on the network that I assign everything a v4 ip address. When this happened yesterday, I went ahead and disabled the v6 addresses as I thought this may be causing some kind of conflict, even thought v4 addresses were assigned.
This morning it was the usual suspects again so I started checking other devices before I rebooted the router. The iOS app tells me everything is online and accounted for. All devices aside from my phone and the obvious things like iPads and things on the network are wired.
    Once again:
    - The Xbox does not connect to the internet.
    - Mom's streaming device is not connecting.
    - My phone is able to access the router.
    This time I additionally checked:
    - My Mac mini was not connected and I was unable to access the router with it. It said it was online and was assigned its addresses in the Networking section of Settings.
    - I booted my gaming PC and it was not assigned its ip address.
At this point I turned off the XR1000 ( I won't need it until later for the smart plugs) rebooted the router and all seems well.
What can I do to troubleshoot this? Is there some log file I can access somewhere? Or even any place I can look to give a hint as to what, if any, device could be causing this to happen?

I just followed up in your thread. The more information we collect and keep in one place the better.

So I have a very lengthy thread over here with what seems to be a similar issue. Same thing, disconnect, reboot router, could last a couple days but no more than a week. I've tried disabling DHCP and that did not resolve it. One of my next steps was to do a factory reset as well but it seems that won't resolve it either. I want to see if there are any similarities between us that may help narrow things down:
    1. Are the devices cutting out *only* on LAN/wired or is it everything? I think you answered this earlier but I just want to make sure. WiFi still works fine for me when this happens.
    2. Just to be clear, no IPs are reserved either manually on device or via the router's DHCP? I've had it Bothe ways and it still happened.
    3. Are there any devices on the network that do a lot of sleep/wake type of stuff? Like consoles that check for updates or streaming boxes that just poke their head up and drop back off? If so, are they wired or wireless? I have a handful of things wired that do this.
    4. I noticed that devices do reconnect to my router when this happens but never get assigned an IP. Have you noticed anything like that happening?
    5. Have you noticed any relatively consistent time of day? My router seems to like between 1 and 4 am generally.
If I think of anything else I'll post.

So we just had an outage again almost an hour ago. I've attached the logs as per usual. Standard log as well as cgi-bin. Changing ports was not the answer. Other than either a factory reset or to start picking apart my network I'm not sure what else to do.
Oddly conditions on the network were busy but not much different than the usual time. Brother on Xbox playing a game and streaming to Twitch, Mom on iPad watching something, I was on my desktop Mac while downloading a file, the living room AppleTV was streaming YouTube TV (mom apparently left it on and nobody bothered to stop it).
Difference between this and the usual time is that I wasn't gaming / Windows PC was off, brother was on Xbox (and streaming) and mom was on her iPad instead of her AppleTV.
@Netduma FraserI feel like these are getting more frequent. Could this in any way be a hardware issue? I'm wondering because the frequency is starting to pick up and that's usually not a good thing. Also, is there anything in the logs that I can be looking for? I'm trying to nail down the possibility of a particular device causing this.
