This new Firmware must bring something hugely different to the table i guess. Takes more than a year to develop xD
I hope it brings more stability tho, Wifi and internet connection is not always stable.

But does the Geofilter still work in D2 after all?

They've switched to a more server-based matchmaking system so you can load into solo games anymore. You can however still use Geo-filter to ensure you're connecting to the closest server to you for the lowest ping.
what does that mean? What servers? I never seen Bungie servers only in the US tho.

We don't know exactly when the new firmware will be released, we're working with our beta testers currently to iron out a few issues. After that it should be good to go!
Yes filtering is on and set to 2000 KM, ping assist to 40.
QoS to auto enable and 950-950 Mbps.

Ah okay, than how does this filter works if the game does things itself too? Doesn't it give like conflict?
Battlefield sucks to be honest and i stopped playing lol.
Destiny 2 works well but in solo missions i still have very laggy experiences like the host is in the US with 150+ ping and 10 tick rate.. Isn't there anything to prevent this?
My geosettings are 2000 Km and QoS is also on automatic and everything works just fine.
Is there any news on when we can expect new Firmware yet? And i saw Duma is coming to smartphone now?

I did some testing and came to the conclusion that the geofilter doesn't work at all... I tested this in Destiny 2, Battlefield 2042 and with or without geofilter i get connected to the same servers...
In Destiny 2 for an example i try to solo something but the server is so laggy that i cannot even do it.. I tried to deny that server but it doesn't work at all and i am still connected to that server.. Tried this with Warframe as well and got the same results.

Be honest, is there a new firmware coming or not? Stop bating us in to believe there is while it takes another year IF there is something coming at all...

Sounds very nice!
I have no issues that i know of to be honest but its always nice to see even more stability.
Sometimes with QoS i have some minor issues that result in poor performance but a reboot solves it.

I had no issues so far so yes, the speed test is still broken for me so its not an upgrade as i had no issues on previous firmware as well.
I don't use QoS as i don't think i really need it? I only have 5 or 6 devices connected.

Nope, this is the worst firmware i ever tested:
I flashed, reset defaults and put settings again and this is the result. With previous firmware i got much better results.
do you guys test this before bring this to public or do you let us the consumer test this instead?

I only use the XR500 as modem/router. When i do speedtest via Ookla i get 950 up and down, only when i do the connection benchmark via the interface i get this low speeds.

What did you input your speeds as being during initial setup? You can double check by going to the three-dot menu in the top right and going to advanced -> network speeds.
Its set to 1000mbps up and down and get 464 down and 700 up.

yes its working again though.
On another note, the connection benchmark is not accurate in the slightest, i get very low download speeds. Its only 388 and upload is 548 while i have an 1Gbps connection.

Well that's not cool.
I bought a new SSD and cloned my Os to the new drive but now i cannot login to my router anymore and i forgot the password..
I did the security check but the answers to the questions are not correct it says while i am for 10000% sure they are... now i have to reinstall the whole router again..

Hard to say, we'll be releasing a new beta version soon so it depends how well that does as to when we would release it as a stable build.
Thnx, it looks similar which is why i was confused i guess. Im gonna flash the firmware tonight.
Looking forward to the next perhaps stable build. Still, im pretty happy with the XR500 so far.

Idk what it is but this XR500 is showing his age i guess. My standard Zyxel modem i got from my ISP is doing a much better job in wifi and gaming performance...
In Warframe too, i get huge lag and Wifi keeps disconnecting.
I hope this is being solved by the new firmware as i cannot use my XR500...
