I would say use a Mixamp (ye the A40's are nowhere near the ADG1X or other good headphones) I would suggest use either a audio extractor but then u can't get higher then 1440p @120hz (though the hdmi 2.1 audio extractors are out now the cheapest one i could find is from Ezcoo around âŦ130) I think soon they will make them in smaller more simple models. Im currently using a USB to Optical Dac converter, so the optical from my Mixamp goes in a tiny Box and from there it goes with USB in the back of the PS5 and the USB just goes straight in the back of the PS5, gives me far superior sound quality compared over the USB only sound. I have also a 4K Hdmi 2.1 monitor the Samsung Odyssey G70A, so im waiting till the hdmi 2.1 audio extractors go around the price point of âŦ30-50 then I will get one.

@K0NSPIRACY Definitely need to use a Mixamp or another Dac amp for that headset it makes a huge difference in sound, volume, cleariness, soundstage all improve huge with the Mixamp especially with those type of headsets its like a totally different sound what u will hear( like going from a scooter to a motorbike đ¤Ŗđ¤Ŗ) I tried a few times mine ATH-ADG1X plugged in my controller sounds so bad, so muffled, I think it doesnt get enough power as well from the controller jack, its a difference of night and day with a Mixamp If u buy the Mixamp I can hook you up with some presets for it dont hesitate to ask me đ

@kinelI use from Potara and sometimes I make them together with him because there aren't a lot of people who are using the Audio-technica headsets. Try the Mw/Warzone presets for MW2 they working quiet good (when the game is out and there isnt already a preset out for it) and put it on Linear pcm in (PlayStation settings) and the Surround off (on Mixamp) if u wanna try the PlayStation 3d-audio. Btw this is how I always play with or without PlayStation 3d-audio i dont use the surround sound from the Mixamp. And I think your headset the AKG in combination with the Mixamp u dont need to buy a Steelseries just find a good preset and set your settings good and u will have awesome sound
-
@kinelI used my mixamp pro tr with the Ad1000x & the ATH-ADG1X from Audio-technica and the sound was very good
-
Your AKG 702's never get outdated, those are very good headphones it is the advanced settings (preset) for Mixamp in Command center that needs to changed because they made a change to audio in-game

I am waiting literally almost half a year for the XR700 beta to come âđĒĻ
-
@Killhippie i am gonna keep it short and simple. I am a customer who bought a router that has been released for 2 years so expect at least support for the coming 2-3 years. I bought a Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR700 in 2018 i didnt buy a R9000 in 2016 or "18 so I expect some support for the product that i bought. And about the TV's, 1 u can't compare a tv with a router and 2 tv's get software and firmware updates even years after release. And I had a ASUS GT-11000AX in summer 2019, that WiFi 6 is not so big as u think, there are not even so much devices that support it, back then my Samsung S10 was the only device i had that have WiFi 6 and in my case i use wired connection for gaming.

@Netduma Fraser i didn't mean it bad or harsh in a way i have no problem with the way u phrased it, just want to get this out in the world so maybe NETGEAR wakes up and think, hey there are people aware that we are lacking on our products support. ASUS RT-AC5300 is released end of 2015 i have mine since begin of 2016, sorry my bad NETGEAR XR700 was released 2018. It stays a expensive product that people have bought and they expect frequent updates especially for routers, lots of bugs, security updates and internet connections changing. Dhcp issues, driver updates, get Routed-IPTV working, load some ISP profiles from different regions like if u are W-EU u get only like from those countries main ISP's.
-
@Netduma Fraser at first i didnt want to reply on the topic as i know u are always willing to help and do your best for us here at the forum but as i feel like your the one we can speak through to Netduma and Netgear i had to say something. 1st of all i dont know a router which firmware got updated and someone had to pay for it (we already paid when we bought the router). 2nd it is totally ridiculous that a router had 6 updates in it's 2-year life (it is as well one of the high end routers of NETGEAR). I compared the updates for my 2015 ASUS RT-AC5300 vs 2018 NETGEAR XR700 the ASUS had 7 firmware updates in 2020 only (and they are working on 386. firmware currently 384. there is a beta running for 386. as well) while the NETGEAR XR700 had only 6 firmware updates since 2018.
-
@Netduma Fraser You told me on the 11th of September a few weeks for XR700 beta it is now over a month later still nothing, Netgear doesnt understand that their clients needs their products to get updated and not once in a year. I signed up for XR700 beta somewhere in June/July as far I can remember, still didnt hear anything yet from NETGEAR.

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Mobel replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
Still all the servers for COD that are in Amsterdam the Netherlands don't appear in the Netherlands some appear in France,Poland, Germany also in ping heatmap they get in France cluster and some in Germany. On a few occasions there appear 1 in the Netherlands, while there are a lot of servers hosting for COD from the Netherlands Amsterdam. -
Any news about DumaOs 3.0 beta for XR700 ?
-
@Netduma Fraser It is really frustrating that Netgear leave buyers of one of their topmodel routers with such a big lack of support for that product almost none updates for drivers, upnp, security cert, even for the DPI I can imagine it needs updates so it can categorize the packets. It is really disappointing.
-
Still no 3.0 for XR700 ? Haven't heard nothing about XR700 DumaOs upgrade, the topmodel that didn't get a upgrade or support for a year this is ridiculous. Netgear should be ashamed of the very low level of support for a 400âŦ,ÂŖ,$ router. I am using my 2016 ASUS now because I am done with this very slow updates that literally take ages. How can ASUS push almost every month a firmware update for a 4-5 year old model and keep updating their routers to work good and Netgear totally fails on this one. It feels like a big middle finger to us the clients, from Netgear to us.

XR700 Firmware Version 1.0.1.20 Released
Mobel replied to Netduma Alex's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@hifi31029 what is broken when u use the XR700? @sharpz44 yes I am using .24 and it is working perfectly it had 2 bugs in the beginning that it says 1: there is a new firmware update while it was already on .24. 2: and a UI error but that was due to my browser. For the rest i didnt come across any other bugs. -
XR700 Firmware Version 1.0.1.20 Released
Mobel replied to Netduma Alex's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I am using the XR700 for 2 years and it is always working perfectly never had a bug or something that doesn't work. But still I think the fw updates are very very poor, a product like this needs at least like 3-4 updates a year. Btw i always perform a factory reset before and after a firmware update especially with XR700 there ain't so much updates to do đđ so go for a clean update and after a update/factory reset let your router chill for a good 10 minutes there are many things happening in the background so be patient. -
XR700 Firmware Version 1.0.1.20 Released
Mobel replied to Netduma Alex's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I was thinking today the last firmware update for XR700 is 10 months ago đ¤ Are there no plans for a firmware update for XR700 or is DumaOs 3.0 beta coming closer for it also ? Those months of waiting are long guys. -
Okay that sounds good, is there no update on the sign-up procedure for XR700 because i signed up from Netgear but didnt receive nothing back.
-
@Netduma FraserStill waiting for the XR700 3.0 beta when will that come ? Are there any updates on the beta schedule for XR700 love to get some info.

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Mobel replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
Yes i saw it a few months ago already, stopped using geo-filter now i can't even getting games on my location while i am living near a lot cod servers in my hometown Amsterdam (NL). Something went wrong with the cloud update a few months ago because since then i couldnt get in games on my home location i get forced to expand to UK, France or Germany otherwise it won't find a game. Also the server icon won't show up on my geo quite often (the ones that are in the Netherlands) sometimes it will sometimes it won't. I think definitely somebody must straighten things up for the cloud update also still some servers show up that are mislocated for example 1 of the dutch servers appear sometimes on the border of Germany/Switzerland. -

I wasnt using geo-filter for a while but yesterday i turned it on and a lots of servers mislocated i cant get in servers from my hometown (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) because they are appearing in central Poland and a lot of different ones mislocated. It really need a proper update because something is really wrong, with other servers as well making the use of geo-filter totally off. -
Yes no problem mate
