Overwatch 2 Server Possible Mislocation (Oklahoma)
Luis Gomes replied to PharmDawgg's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Here are a good amount of servers that I collected so far. I included both the spain and texas servers too just incase they are needed. If asked I will post these in a different file format, i'm not sure if you guys prefer something other than excel here on the forum Netduma Oklahoma Servers+Spain+Texas.xlsx -

The Duma team has a form to submit Server ID’s and their IP’s here on the forums, i’m not sure if you seen it. Look for “Mislocated servers” on the search bar and you will find it. I’m thinking of writing them down, since basically it doesn’t take much work on my end, and when I get around 60/70 I will just give them so they can double/triple check if they are okay. As I wrote before, I know with SBMM here on MWIII they eventually become repeats so it’s just a one time thing and eventually there won’t be any need to collect more fot awhile. But, even then, maybe even that wouldn’t be too necessary since I don’t think there are that many mislocated servers. It’s just great to improve my own experience bringing others along in such an easy way 👊🏻 -

Let me give you all the Server IDS’s then @Netduma Fraser. Yes they all say “Oklahoma” without a doubt, I didn’t right down any IP or other information, if necessary i’ll do so. I only got Oklahoma back today so I still don’t have a bigger amount of ID’s because of the small amount time that has passed, and obviously I go back and forth between the locations I mentioned before (exclusively Spain and Oklahoma is what I have set to my geofilter, there’s nothing else I connect to), but if this is indeed the case then here are the ones I got so far, hopefully it can help and I can keep collecting and post them if needed (tell me where to send them if it can help everyone). I’m actually really surprised by that Chile one specifically. I also don’t think I confused the spain ones with the Oklahoma ones, I had my app open and was using the auto-ping feature. Here are the Oklahoma ones, including the ones I wrote before: HY595D 1LSZ2I2 1M76298 1LSZ1W9 HY5A7Q HY592T 1LSZ2A0 1LE6ACP HY58X6 1LSZ2HC 1LSZ1UN -
Overwatch 2 Server Possible Mislocation (Oklahoma)

Well in my experience the Oklahoma server comes in handy because I live in Portugal, I get around 25ms ping (ingame) to the Spanish server and between 38-45ms to the French server. But to the Oklahoma server I get around 25ms too. I also wonder if it is really there, because it’s very far away. i cannot get these pings to any other location in the USA (They are all 100+ms ping) i also want to add that it has been like this for a longtime not only playing MW3, last year during MW2 I used to use ping assist with my location on the middle of the ocean just trying to force the lowest pings possible, and I remember seeing “Texas” and “Oklahoma” even back then on the Server info section. Since the Spanish Server gives me around 60 hosts back and forth every day (playing solo makes finding lobbies a little slower than partied up) it’s great to have more locations like this @Netduma Fraser Are these all Oklahoma servers? Here are a couple Server ID’s: HY595D 1LSZ2I2 1M76298 1LSZ1W9 HY5A7Q -

I started connecting again to the Oklahoma server, I believe the only thing missing now is the Icon on the PingHeat Map 🙂 -
I suddenly lost access to my PS5, bought a new one and now I can’t see my devices on the Geofilter page, which means I can’t turn off Filtering Mode manually. I tried rebooting but the list still isn’t showing. Anything else I could do to help getting them back?

I’m currently trying to optimize my Smartboost configuration on the R3 on a 100MBPS connection. Being that I usually use my PS5 for gaming. (MW3) , with my IPAD Pro on the side playing some youtube video (low quality), plus a Safari Tab showing my ping, is my best option to only prioritize gaming and set my PlayStation as Top Priority? I tried different Bandwith Reservations and tweaks but I couldn’t exactly find a way to make it so I can limit my network usage on the IPad to a bigger extent. Considering that there isn’t exactly a way to cap off the Bandwidth usage on a particular device, what is my main option in order to minimize how this device affects my gaming?

So it is solved now? -
Ping Optimizer works sometimes, sometimes it doesn’t (at the moment).

It’s 140ms not 140kms

Thank you 🙏 for the response! I will take this into consideration from now on☺️

I have made a couple posts already and i’m loving my R3 😊 i had the R1 and R2 before and I never noticed this happening before, and maybe i’m going crazy (I’m playing MW3). When i’m not the party host, and just joining a party, it seems like if I don’t have Geo-Latency turned on the Party host can’t find a lobby, and I have found some (different) instances (i’m still not 100% of sure on this since i’ve been hosting the majority of my lobbies recently) in which I believe the host of the lobby is also taking in my Geo-Filter Settings (which is a Net Positive). Is this something to consider when making my joining lobbies with the R3? As stated above, the Geo-Latency setting seems to be necessary to finding lobbies, so maybe that’s worth considering, otherwise the party host will be infinitely trying to find matches🙂

You don’t need to necessarily use Channel 128, try better ones that are more appropriate for the 5Ghz connection, like 36, 40, 44 or 48. But if that’s the best one for you then stick with it👍🏻

Haha 😆 I have to sneak in here to say I thought the same also

Fraser, I recently stopped being able to connect to a Oklahoma server that I constantly connected to while playing MW3, is this the same server you are reffering to? I -
Are you turning on Geo Latency? That might be the issue

When is the NEW Firmware that FINALLY FIXES ALL these issues!?
Luis Gomes replied to iOrcus's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You are right indeed. I haven’t really seen it happen. I’m in Portugal, covering spain and Oklahoma on Polygon mode with Geo Latency off. If Ping assist is at 0 you are just going to connect to what you set it up to. -
Just like me here in Portugal, that’s not directly related to the Netduma, you’re just playing at a time when there are less people playing. Less people means SBMM has to prioritize connection criteria more. I remember too, back in Vanguard, how I noticed such a huge difference in players. That was basically due to the fact the game sold less than the usual COD. And the fact of the matter is that you tend to be matched with the same players over and over again because of SBMM with the netduma if you restrict it enough, so that might also sway your games a little, but nobody can guarantee bot lobbies unless you reverse boost, which is pointless. Just try to work with what you have until they bring non-disbanding lobbies back, which will let you just leave a match if matched are too swayed.

Was reading through the replies and yes, you are right, that’s optimal. Even then, in particular cases, Wifi could be better, especially with the 2.4 connection (I get 100mbps on it or less, no tweaks matter, meanwhile 5ghz gets more than 700).Fraser has said they are going to improve, and I have seen others saying they have this specific issue too. But in general, don’t get me wrong, the R3 is really amazing (for me a heavy tinkerer) it’s almost flawless, and for it to be like this for me so early on, just means it can only get better from here 👍🏻 -
So is it certain that turning off Geo-Latency shouldn’t affect your geo-filter settings and make you connect to far away servers you didn’t expect (being a bug?) or is this a part of how the geo-filter works now? I see many people saying that you should turn this setting off to go back to the old school geo-filter so I am still slightly confused on that end. It kind off makes me want to turn it on and off because of the unpredictable chance I get an american server living in Europe even though I am using strict mode and all settings are correctly set, which is kind of a shame since not needing to add friends to a list with geo latency would be much more convenient.

I decided to come back here since I got the R3. Now I am getting my full internet speeds with 160mhz or 8mhz channel width. I’m just super happy! I also used a wifi analyzer to check the best channel for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. As stated by some users, the 2.4ghz speeds, although I don’t use them, are the ones that still seem low, with max download speeds at around 100mbps of a one gigabyte connection. Any further improvements in that area would be of help to R3 users.
