When is the NEW Firmware that FINALLY FIXES ALL these issues!?
Luis Gomes replied to iOrcus's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Was reading through the replies and yes, you are right, that’s optimal. Even then, in particular cases, Wifi could be better, especially with the 2.4 connection (I get 100mbps on it or less, no tweaks matter, meanwhile 5ghz gets more than 700).Fraser has said they are going to improve, and I have seen others saying they have this specific issue too. But in general, don’t get me wrong, the R3 is really amazing (for me a heavy tinkerer) it’s almost flawless, and for it to be like this for me so early on, just means it can only get better from here 👍🏻 -
So is it certain that turning off Geo-Latency shouldn’t affect your geo-filter settings and make you connect to far away servers you didn’t expect (being a bug?) or is this a part of how the geo-filter works now? I see many people saying that you should turn this setting off to go back to the old school geo-filter so I am still slightly confused on that end. It kind off makes me want to turn it on and off because of the unpredictable chance I get an american server living in Europe even though I am using strict mode and all settings are correctly set, which is kind of a shame since not needing to add friends to a list with geo latency would be much more convenient.

I decided to come back here since I got the R3. Now I am getting my full internet speeds with 160mhz or 8mhz channel width. I’m just super happy! I also used a wifi analyzer to check the best channel for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. As stated by some users, the 2.4ghz speeds, although I don’t use them, are the ones that still seem low, with max download speeds at around 100mbps of a one gigabyte connection. Any further improvements in that area would be of help to R3 users.

That’s a great explanation Fraser😊 in regards to the fluctuations, what should I take into account the most when tracking it, should it be the ingame ping or the app itself? Additionally, if my ingame ping fluctuates around 1-2 ms (maybe 3 depending on the server) is this a reason to “not” use steady ping?

Hey there, I’ve decided to purchase a Netduma R3 yesterday and still haven’t received my verification email. (I Checked Junk Folder) My order number is 45296. Any help would be appreciated😊

Thank you, that’s what I figured. In regards to setting up new antennas, is there a specific type someone should look for on the R2/R3?

I am currently trying to optimize my Netduma R2’s download speeds to maximize them. I split the 2.4ghz and 5ghz (the latter of which I know I need to use) connections and tried different channel widths as well as channels, and as far as I can tell they have gone up significantly since I started. My current speeds went up from basically below 50mbps download speed (using combined connections) to pratically 300mbs (download) depending on the time of day (upload speed is always at it’s highest possible). i was curious about any other factors that might be preventing me to achieve at least half ( around 500 ) of my full connection (1000mbs) since it’s not too convenient for me use a wired connection. Are there any other tweaks I can possibly make to achieve this? Regardless of the amount of devices connected or my distance from the router I am limited to this speed, and I figured I could possibly improve it a little more. Any more suggestions the team could provide?

Closest MWIII Ded Server has higher ping?

Thank you so much Fraser, I was able to find match in a reasonable speed and get a good experience! If you have any suggestions to improve routing I would be thankful but besides that my issue is resolved😊 -
Closest MWIII Ded Server has higher ping?
Luis Gomes replied to Luis Gomes's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I am currently setting my location in the middle of the ocean to focus strictly on the ping values, but I could set it in my hometown and the results wouldn’t change. The settings are shown in these pictures. As a sidenote, I cannot ever get below a 20ms ping in COD. There’s not a specific reason for me to want it since I get a good enough experience already but the lower the better right😊 I have seen others be able to achieve it in MW3 but never understood why I seem capped regardless of what I do, even though these people live around the same area, and I would certainly achieve it with the spanish players with the location i’m in -
So I am located in Northern Portugal, and I have had this experience of having the spanish server provide me a much higher ping value than a french server. How come might this happen? Should it not be the opposite way around? My experience with the Netduma is that it’s much less frequent for me to connect to spanish players as opposed to french ones. Is there some sort of reason behind it that’s not related to my connection? Or can I do something to change it?

I recently hopped back on the Netduma after buying my R2 and was thinking how useful it could be to have sort of preset configurations, as in to save a particular geofilter drawing configuration for a certain time of day, or maybe just save it locally in order to facilitate the process of finding the optimal setups, or even switching back to one particular location if needed. Is this something you guys would consider as a future implementation?
