Bravo, the router should have been released with this version, no more processor overload problems, the bufferbloat is perfect still some problems with upnp but overall the update meets my expectations. Very good work

I've been here since the first hour r1 xr500 and now r3 except that I just bought a new router in beta version at over 223euros that annoys me. Upnp works 1/5, no hybrid VPN, the maximum speeds are pitiful and irregular, an increase or even a fluctuation in ping which is the complete opposite of buying a gaming router, a processor core which goes up to 100% without any activities or reason and one that remains at 0%!! In short, netduma, what are you planning to do? The router is more than 1 month old and the features and performance that made us buy this router are not present or functional. We're talking about the features that are in the product description!!! What are the solutions ?!

hello, it's a bug with the xr500 beta if you restart the router with the hybrid vpn activate it will no longer work, you have to reset the router. The only solution currently is to deactivate the hybrid VPN before restarting the xr500

Hi fraser The problem is that netgear routers don't have updates so this is not a valid answer, I've had the router for 4 years and it seems to be working fine since beta rc13, 4 years for the router to work properly.... And I would be the first to buy an r3 with solid hardware and firmware. I'm even close to buying an r2 for the solid features of the software while the hardware is worse than the xr500 ... In my humble opinion buying a netgear router under dumaos is a big mistake..

Unfortunately fraser I had the r1 which for me had a qos which was capable of great things with the bufferbloat but duma os impossible to have a result on the bufferbloat and I tested 2 different ISPs in France "orange and sfr" both in fiber ftth 1gb down and 500 up. Unfortunately the only ones which we succeeded in giving me a bufferbloat of 1 to 2 ms were the r1 or openwrt by limiting the bitrates compared to the material ... and I find that sorry .. of have regressed compared to your first router. All my tests were done with pingplotter and dslreport at the time and the same observation .. that I lower the cursors to 90% or 20% my ping fluctuates and a feeling of delay in the games is always present the best option for me and deactivated the qos: / ..

Je suis chez sfr et non pour l'instant j'utilise la sfr box 8 sous dmz je ne pense pas que cela changera grand chose et de toutes façons je n'ai pas d'ont sur la 8 ( après entre nous je l'avais fait avec orange et je n'ai rien remarqué de différent a par des bugs avec le décodeur)^^ Mais si on fait une comparaison le ping chez Orange était largement plus stable mais leur box trop de restrictions alors que sfr assez instable tout en restant bas sous les 10ms mais orange j'étais à 3ms ^^ sur pingplotter

L'espoir fait vivre ^^ j'avoue que ma confiance envers netduma est proche de 0 il font pleins de chose mais mal mdr toute leurs fonctionnalité sont bugé geofiltre les emplacements n'ont jamais était au bon endroit obligé d'utiliser ping assist , l'upnp n'a jamais réussi à ouvrir les ports en 3 ans ,la qos n'a jamais réussi à réduire le bufferbloat leurs test de co est inutilisable avec le xr500 et j'en passe après je parle que du xr500 le r2 j'imagine est plus stable mais la ça devient compliqué de croire en cette entreprise 3 ans après et toujours être sur une version bêta même avant 3.0 ^^

Interesting I think that asus or other company that makes so-called "gaming" router are really efficient unfortunately the qos of duma os is very wobbly nobody manages to have 1 or 2 ms of bufferbloat with a router of the xr range so I imagine that the priority traffic is also wobbly ...

Tiens patoche du coup le Asus niveaux qos c'est vraiment intéressant ? Parceque je me tate la seule invention qui va me manquer c'est le géofiltre mais vu tous les autres problèmes je pense réellement arrêter avec eux

Je donne un avis général mais rassure toi l'algorithme utilisé sur le xr300 et sur le xr500 ou voir le xr700 est exactement le même
