Honestly if you don't know what a VPN is you should do some research first and make sure that you actually want one or need one. The main reason people use VPN's is for internet anonymity (no big brother looking over your shoulder), at least if you choose a good VPN that takes your privacy seriously. After you decide whether you need or want a VPN you'll need to choose a VPN that best suits your needs. VPNs aren't very good for gaming as it creates additional latency. I use Private Internet Access as my VPN provider because of... -Affordability -Lots of server locations -Good bandwidth -Good customer service -No data logging of any kind -Kill Switch -Shared IP address -DNS leak prevention -Good security options

I sometimes stream games, so I don't want to be DDosed by some salty 12-year old who looses to me... Nor do I want to be Swatted by immature punks, either.
