PharmDawgg
Have you updated to the latest firmware 1.03.5m and what brand and model modem are you using?
FatalDragon
Hey, Yea i updated to the new firmware 1.03.5m. This problem happened to me twice before the update so this is an ongoing problem i thought maybe an update would fix it. im using a motorola sbg6580
PharmDawgg
Does rebooting the router or modem only fixes the problem temporarily? And does the issue happen during increased data usage Ii.e. streaming netflix)? I believe it is conflict with the chipset in the modem but only Netduma can answer this. They will be back Monday morning.
FatalDragon
Yes, i think your right. when i reset the modem everything is fine and yes this only happens with increased data usage.
Red
Why not just limit your moms computer to like 1% while you game on 100%
FatalDragon
I dont live with my mom please think before you respond. I was trying 100% to see how my network would react with all the new devices added as of recently. I should be able to run 100% and not have a ping of

FatalDragon
I did that already. That works fine however but i would like to see what my max speed is sometimes. I feel that if i spend alot on a router i should be able to use it how I want.

UK_Wildcats_Fans
I was experiencing the same thing. I also noticed that I was getting inconsistent downloads and uploads when running speed tests. I also had the Motola SBG6580 modem that was provided by Time Warner Cable. I ran several tests and noticed that I was getting the same results when plugged directly into the modem. If you review some of the threads below, many talk about issues with EEE and the Broadcom chips. The SBG6580 has the same Broadcom chipset. This may be causing part of the problem. Because of this, I bought a Motorola SB6141 (Texas Instrument chipset). After swapping the modems, it was a night and day different in the consistency and I was also not seeing a much of ping spikes in BO3.
