Port foward with two routers?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to port foward with two routers.

I have my PC connected to the netduma and my netduma connected to my 2nd router.

I enabled UPNP and tried manually adding the ports (both TCP & UDP) , made sure I was 'listening' with my software , no luck.
I checked on 'canyouseeme'.

If I plug my PC directly in to my 2nd router isntead of the netduma , I can portfoward correctly no problem.
I also tried adding my netduma to my 2nd routers DMZ , it says that it's not in the same network (2nd router = 10.0.0.x , netduma = 192.168.88.1)

How can I resolve this problem??

You are trying to add the Netduma's internal IP. You need to add the WAN IP to the DMZ. This explains how to do that.

If that doesn't work can you explain exactly how you network is setup like "Wall >> Modem >> Netduma >> All devices connected to Netduma" but do it for however yours is set up :)

Hmm I succesfully added it , but my ports still show as closed , although the UPNP ports are added to my second router?

Can you explain how everything is set up :) And the ports won't show as open unless an application as binded to it so the game will need to be loaded. Do you have an open NAT?

Nope no open NAT, games open also which is weird.

Thanks for the replies!

If you NAT is open now after following Crossys instructions I would leave it as is :)

I needed to be able to portfoward though for my PC , having an open NAT is great too though.

Still need help getting ports to open :(

  • 2 weeks later...

I have mine setup Wall > Netduma > all LAN network from the Duma and an extended WiFi network with Apple Airports all in Bridge Mode.

I have no problem with black ops 3 open Nat on PS4 but my Luma 500 surveilance DVR (for security cameras) can no longer be accessd from outside the network which is a major problem for me. I forwarded all of the ports. Before this I was using an Apple AirPort Extreme as the main router with no issues. I want the control of the Netduma but not if I have to give up accessing my security system remotely.

I think the problem is that the Luma DVR can not obtain an IP from the Netduma for some reason. Everything else on my network does no problem. It could just be incompatible, I'm not sure. Any Idea how I can fix this?
