Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 23, 2015 Administrators Share Posted October 23, 2015 so i cant block dedicated services? No, it could ruin your gaming experience if we allowed that, you can try some of these things: Set your home location, then put the distance really small, press the 'Snap' button a few times to auto expand the Geo-filter to an optimum size for getting games. Increase/decrease the Geo-filter radius. Disable/enable strict mode. Move your home until you get a different host or padlock appear (you may have to restart the game but may not) and keep in mind our anti-cheat if you connect to games and continue to try and find other hosts. Would it be possible to let us user choose to have that feature of blocking a dedicated server? I for one would like the option to choose whether or not to try and block a particular dedicated server and if it does ruin my gaming experience, I'll just turn it back on. The issue with that is game companies may see that as network manipulation, which obviously we don't want to happen as that could then have negative impacts on the customer. It would ruin your gaming experience as some games just have dedicated servers so you wouldn't be able to get a game at all.

And yes, PA to 0 and enable strict mode should avoid the server you don't want to play on. With these settings, the only think you'll connect to is what ever is within your geo filter. We wouldn't implement that ability because it would be detrimental to your gaming, we want to improve your gaming experience not worsen it.
