Vpn exceptions not working with CSGO

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone hope some of you could possible assist me with my VPN exceptions

I have a Hide My Ass vpn service account and last night was the first time I got hit offline on CSGO so I enabled my VPN and added the exception "source game".

Closed everything and opened it up again but the moment I start playing the game it's laggy which leads me to believe the game is still running on the vpn and not on my connection (makes it unplayable basically)

How can I fix this (sorry in advance if I am just a bit "stupid" with this)

Hi Killerelite,

Can you disable the VPN, join a game and then make a note of the ping. Then re-enable the VPN and add "Source Engine Games" as an exception and join the same game. Is the ping the same or is it significantly different?

Disabled vpn - 30

Vpn enabled 30-128 (it goes up and down rapidly)

We have a 10 mb line (that's fast in South Africa) could it be our line is to slow to handle the vpn and csgo ?

Can you make sure that on the exception it says "disable" as this means it's enabled

I can confirm it says disable and yet I still get lag (tried factory reset and setting everything up over again same problem)

Nether the less I love my netduma

Okay can you make sure you're on the latest version, you can check if you scroll to the bottom of any page on the duma, the latest is 1.03.4, if you don't have that, follow this http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=manual_update

*Made sure my Netduma is on 1.03.4

*Put my modem into bridge mode so it sends all data to netduma

*Connected to multiple vpn servers (provided by hide my ass) to make sure it not the vpn server giving problems

Okay Killer I think the best thing to do would be to set up a 1 on 1, can you PM me with a date/time you're available please :)

Terribly sorry for the late reply

I am having the same exact issue.

This was actually the only reason I purchased this router was to be able to stream CS:GO safely. Any solutions???

I am glad to hear that I am not they only one currently I am risking a ddos attack while playing competitive (I cant stream because my countries internet is to slow)
