Administrators Netduma Iain Posted October 19, 2015 Author Administrators Posted October 19, 2015 Agree completely, absolutely terrible things he did.
Dillinger Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 As with most history, it kind of depends on who's side you were subjected to prior to the "final scene". Pablo did a lot of good things for "his community", as long as the community did what he wanted. Food, clothes, books for teaching, street and block parties, protection etc. If you grew up with nothing and someone started doing these sorts of things, it would be hard to classify it as anything other than "help" and the person that was doing it a "saint". John Gotti, the American gangster who was known as "The Teflon Don" actually did many of the same things that Escobar did, but he did them in one of the Burroughs of New York and was considered a hero by more than a few. They both were sociopaths with very little concern other than getting their own way, but it's interesting in how that influence can be spun as such a negative from one side and such a positive on the other. I find shit like that terribly interesting....
